What are these things?
I have an idea what they are, I think they remind me of those candle holders that you see in the Catholic Church when you walk in the door, but I don't remember the reason for different colors. I found two boxes of these, never used, in my guest cottage next door because due to Irene dropping a tree on the corner of the porch it has to come off because its pretty shaky. Am I right on these things? The box says Decorama out of Texas.

I believe you are correct; they're called votive candles. The candle itself is just a very short, cylindrical shape, which you place in the glass holder in your picture. I don't believe there is any special meaning attached to the colors -they're just decorative, as such items generally are.

That's funny... Ma used to set them on the table as fancy drinking glasses along with the good china (no, not the Cool Whip bowls) when we had company.

Groovy candle holders! LOL
My wife and I had some just like the three on the left, right after we got married in the fall of 1973. They sat on my "spool table" cocktail table (made from an old electric wire spool and stained), and sat right in front of my first sofa (reclaimed from trash in front of someone's house and covered with a sofa cover from Wal-Mart.
Ah . . . the little treasures that make life a little "nicer" when you ain't got any money and just have each other!
Long gone are the spool table, candle holders, Poly Perk coffee pot and thrown away sofa . . . but I kept the girl!
I don't know what those candle holders might bring today in a garage sale . . . but it made me smile to see 'em again after all these years.

Before you go shooting them up, I'd check w/ a knowledgeable person about value. Decorama was an importer, and some of the items that they used to handle can be quite valuable to collectors.

They are cups that hold little squat candles called tea lites candles. They usually come in little pacs of 6. You can even buy them wid smelly stuff added. If you got a big ole' bear rug and a fire place you can set twenty or thrity of em around the room burnin' and put a little Teddy or Luther on the stereo. Won't be long and if you play your cards right, say the right things... You'll be gettin' busy.
I believe I'd try some of that b/4 I used em' for targets. I'm just saying...

At one time the manufacturers used different basic elements to color the glass. Some of the elements were/are radioactive. ruh-roh!
