Default FLIGHT 93

If you wish to delete that is OK.
I have listened to the debates and speeches--the recordings and all of the reports of this fatal flight.
Most find it to be historic and heroic. I really don't disagree.
At the same time I have some toughts about this event. They are mine and they come from my personality. I won't ever cosider mine to be theirs.
What I read and hear is a bunch of folks who just plain got fed up with being threatened. I know they had a grand scheme. I just believe that deep in their gut they had had enough.
I can understand these feelings---I, and many here have been there and done that.
What they did WAS historic and heroic--to us. To them, I think, it was enough is enough and urinate on you.
Blessings

I tend to agree with you. Through out our history many ,both great and small, events/actions have taken place when ordinary decent people have "had enough" and acted both as individuals and as groups to fix the situation. This is very much the same and I say GOD BLESS our fellow citizens and neighbors.

It still brings a tear to my eye. These were ordinary people, not paid police, firefighters, or military. These were every day citizens. AMERICANS. They knew they were going to die. They could have sat in the corner and waited until their time was up. When the plane crashed into another American building, killing countless more Americans and further scarring this great Country.

They said "NO! We won't let you have your way. That's not American!"

I am proud of each and every one of them. How many people would do the same? I think everyone on this board would fight, but many in the Country may not. Those brave souls should be held high in the history books. They were as brave as any Medal of Honor recipient, in my mind.

Thank GOD they chose to end the madness that day.

The "Unorganized Militia" struck the first blow against Al Quaida on Flight 93.
Sometimes there is no one else to confront criminals, thugs, and terrorists.

Defining moments.
We all have them.
Some are very spectacular.
Some involve the very mundane choices of life.
It can be a matter of service 'above and beyond', or it can be deciding to pay a bill on time instead of going out on the town.

Freedom could be defined as the ability to make your choice in any particular situation.

I have known some honest-to God heroes in my life. Brave men that will forever be heroes in my mind because of the choice they made in a particular moment. They were just ordinary people before that moment.

Whether you ascribe that defining moment to Providence, fate, karma, or mere chance matters not.

Whatcha gonna do?
