I hope our starting pitchers will settle down for the Series.

The Cardinals are gonna have their hands full..................but most people counted them out back in August. It's all been gravy since. Atlanta ran out of gas, Phillie didn't get the timely hitting they needed, and now Milwaukee has been shown to be lacking. I just hope it's not a 4-game series like it was in '04!
Then again, the Redbirds have come this far...........they might just pull it off! Stranger things have happened.
It should be interesting.

With neither league's best record teams playing this should still be an interesting WS. I will be very curious to see how Pujols fares, considering he's on the auction block after this season. Now, I'd love to see the NYY sign him, but they'd be best advised to spend their money on starting pitchers. Perhaps NY could return to the Series as they'd like to. PS: funny how Boston fell apart in September, and how the Phils allowed the Cards to take them down. Anything can happen, you never truly know till afterward. (Personally, I don't care if the NBA ever gets back together...)

Gotta hand it to the Texas Rangers - nice job, and a great series.
As Jim Leland said - "The best team won and the Rangers earned it and good luck to Ron, although I am very proud of this team and what they have done".
Cards and Rangers - should be a good series!!

The Rangers will be starting C J Wilson. He'll last until the third inning, Texas will be down by four runs, but the Bull Pen will again do its thing. Rangers in four games. Next year we'll get some decent starting pitching.

I met several of them at the Border Patrol Conference in 2005. They have style, I'll admit that..
Tooled leather belt and holster rigs, Stetson hats, polished cowboy boots and pressed jeans. Every damn one of them had a spit-cup and some form of snuff in their lower lips. They weren't the most talkative bunch, but they asked good questions about our products.
Wait, we're talking about sports, aren't we???

Love the Rangers. Can't figure out how they keep winning in post season, no quality starts from starting pitchers, no RBIs from clean-up, poor average of hitting with men in scoring position. Just hope it keeps on, I guess.

Go Cardinals! Red October!
How did the Cardinals get in the World Series? Think they were 10½ games out of the wild card race at one point.

My Bravos choked. Too many rookies this year that couldn't take the pressure at the end. Kimbrel said his adrenaline was pumping and he was gripping the ball too tight when he blew those saves the last week or so. But he still set a rookie record for saves. Wait till next year.

Albert
Howdy,
I think the cost to re-sign Albert is rising by the minute. Albert Pujols turned in the greatest single game performance by a hitter in World Series history in Game 3, going 5-for-6 with three home runs, six RBIs, four runs scored, and 14 total bases, tying the World Series records for hits, homers, RBIs, and runs, and breaking the Series record for total bases.
The Cards 16 runs is a second place tie for high scoring team in a world series game with the 1960 Yankees and 2002 Giants and second only to the Yankees 18 runs in 1936.
You Texans have a pretty deserving team and I hate to see either team have to lose but
GO CARDS!
Thanks
Mike

Hi Cass
Hi Cass,
Great game pitched by Holland.
I felt so sorry for him when they pulled him.(Felt sorry for Boggs too)
Again,great preformane by Derek Holland!
I think he would have went the distance and shut them out.
It makes me think abouy Jaime Garcia and game two. He was asked before the game if he was nervous and replied. "No, I have prepared for this all my life". And something along the lines that it is every boys dream to pitch a W.S. game.
Can't wait to see what is next.
Mike

Can't believe Ryan muffed W's opening game pitch. Just a little off the plate but it hit Nolan in the mitt. He just booted it. E-2, passed ball on the catcher.
Great game and Holland was sharp. Hated to see him come out but walks late in the game are soooo dangerous. Great series so far with 2 of my favorite teams playing. I picked Texas in 7 going in. Betting line was put up $1.60 to win $1 if you liked the Rangers, bet $1 to win $1.40 if you liked the Cards.
