Default Gun Cleaning question #?

I was at a customers house today and she mentioned she had some old guns that belonged to her Dad,Johnny.
Johnny passed suddenly a couple of years ago and Mom passed shortly after.
I didn't have much time so I looked at two that were on the wall. Some plastic stocked .410 single shot and a .22 that was a little strange to me.
She's an animal lover and has a bunch.See where this is going?
Filthy and surface rust under a few years of cat dander and dust.
I'd like to help her out and at least clean them up some what and find out what she's got.
She mentioned a "long barreled pistol" as I was leaving.I asked her if it was a revolver. She said it was.
I liked Johnny and would like to help her out and maybe make a good deal for myself as well.

What would you bring to help clean them up?????

Just an oily rag until I knew what each piece was.

Everything mentioned above and a can of CRC-336 if you can find it although I think some Wal-Marts may carry it.

For removing surface rust this stuff is amazing. Just oil the metal and rub with the pad, rust gone bluing still there.

A large, mean dog will take care of the long term storage problem.
See above for gun cleaning suggestions.

You guys are too funny.

I think some cleaner and oil just to see what's under the crud.

Gloves for sure.I'll take them outside under her carport for some fresh air.

The .22 looks like a military trainer with a full length stock but has a tube mag.???

When I was in the Army and we had an inspection coming up, we used to strip our M-1 Garrands down and put the metal parts in a steaming hot shower. Spotless and completely dry. Use to drive the Sergeants crazy. They couldn't find anything to gig us for.
