Default What? No Walking Dead Thread??

I actually watched it last night as there was nothing on.

It was classic TV.

A bloated zombie in a well. "Glad we didn't do something stupid like shoot it"(I did laugh at that)

Some religious belief moments.

Somebody is pregnant

Young love/sex in the drug store.

The Redneck with a crossbow actually sounded intelligent and has some feelings.

Gun safety was being taught. Was that a S&W????

What did I miss?

If you didn't watch last weeks episode first, you did miss the tinkling sound of brass hitting the ground every time Otis fired the Colt revolver. Huh? Man if they are going to film this in Georgia, at least have a sound effects person who knows something about guns. Like I told my wife while we were watching, if you hear brass hitting the ground after you fire a revolver, you have more serious problems than zombies.

My daughter and my niece are following some kind of twitter thread with some of the people involved with the show. They were laughing at one tweet that said something like,"Wow! Rural Georgia is like another world, isn't it?"

They just don't know.

I thought it was very "classy" that Mrs Sheriff had to sneak out in the night, to go in the field and use the prego test.

At least she followed Rule #9 Wait for it!.............

In the coming attractions for the next episode isn't that the one handed guy from the roof in Atlanta? As far as the exploding water zombie goes, good messy special effects. Next question, whose the baby's daddy?

Interesting to note that the kindly old veterinarian who has allowed them to stay on his property, who has also provided the group with clean water, food, shelter and medical care has refused to allow them to keep their handguns. I mean, who does this guy think he is, the Mayor of Chicago or something?

At least the crazy guy at the CDC didn't take their guns from them before blowing the place to Kingdom Come.

I've got the feeling that "kindly old Veterinarian" isn't all that he appears to be. The NO guns BS should be a huge red flag for the Deputy.

DID like the bloated guy from the well scene. Anyone else know where it was headed...the instant he got "stuck" as he was being pulled from the well?? LOL.

"Hell on Wheels" Was pretty good too. Shows some promise.

Agreed!! There's something wrong with that whole picture, (with the exception of the Farmer's daughter), just can't seem to put my finger on it yet. Why is the one zombie from the well the only one they have seen on the property since the group arrived? They're obviously in the woods and highways all around.

Assuming they follow the graphic novel (which they really aren't, for the most part)...all will be revealed, soon.

There will be a plot point about what the vet is hiding, it is going to pretty much follow the graphic novel on that from what I understand. Though... Rick's group has more people and more guns, so I'm not sure how the doc would be planning to evict them anyway...

How long have they been using that well before they found him there? " Been there long enough to grow gills!"

Maybe the "herd" moved on up the interstate???

When he brought the Cherokee Rose to the grieving mom in the RV, I noticed that he had it in a Sweetwater 420 pale ale bottle, a Georgia brewery. Good plug for the locals! Good beer, too..

For those who paid attention, the Doc already hinted at his secret in conversations with Rick. Remember, the Doc thinks that there will eventually be a cure and that things will work out.

The daughter said that well was for the cattle. Given the lack of zombie cows, apparently the zombie disease doesn't transfer to cattle.

Hey...even Glenn got some!

This is a great series. Plenty of technical glitches if you look for them, but all in all, a great zombie movie.

The old vet is hiding something. The fact he told everyone to keep away from the barn tells me he's hiding something in there. I'm thinking his wife and other family members that are now zombies are stored in there. Remember, he did say to Rick earlier that he thought there would be a cure coming. Plus, he doesn't want anyone to keep their guns.

This is one of the least believable things about the whole show. You start taking up guns in Georgia, especially without a shred of authority, then you ain't going to get far. Just about everybody I know would choose to move on, providing they respected the old Vet's property rights, rather than giving up their guns.

I haven't read ahead, but I suspect what several others are thinking - old doc is walker-lover who has a bunch of them stashed somewhere, thinking there will be a cure. He doesn't want our little band of heroes opening up on them if they're discovered.

I like the way the series is going. If it was just non-stop zombie blasting it would get tedious quick.

I cannot believe grown up folks talking about Zombie movies... and following the 'graphic novels' - isn't that a euphemism for a 'comic book'?

Of course, I pre-ordered Season One on BluRay - as I will Season Two. Never missed an episode - until this season - my wife doesn't want to ruin it for her (She started watching Season One two weekends ago... previously thought it was ' dumb' - she's hooked now!). I have to record it Sunday night - view it at lunch Monday. If you haven't seen 'The Talking Dead' interview show after the main episode, they have been interesting. Sunday night's episode had an interview with Glenn, aka Zombie boy-bait, and Maggie - who didn't hide her beautiful smile - or British accent. The main guy/deputy hides his Australian accent well, too. The make-up, etc, for the well-Zombie was interesting. Record it - worth the effort.

I have a collection of Zombie movies, much to my wife's chagrin.
