I'm your Huckleberry. I live in Haywood County, off I-40 about 30 minutes from the Tennessee line. I like me some Smiths. My wife has been working on a job in Charlotte and should be back there around May.

the wind here in charlotte is crazy today, decided to let of some rounds... only when the 40mph gust came along would accuracy get thrown off... anyways its always nice to meet some fellow NC wesson fans... have anyone been on the NCgunowners forum? im also a member of that, pretty cool place to talk gun with locals of the state... also they are setting up some range days and food/beer afterwards in the charlotte area...

I'm a neighbor up in Concord area. Yea, that wind today was wild. Backyard furnture was moving around!
I am a member of NCGunOwners forum, but spend a lot more time on Carolina Shooters Forum, and the new Carolina Shooters Club. CSC is a split-off group from CSF. I like them both.
I shoot a fair amount at Eagle Guns & Range in Concord. Great gun shop and new range. Check it out if you get a chance.

It's windy down on the coast this evening as well. Welcome from Wrightsville Beach. I enjoy my S&W collection.

I'm from the Raleigh area and have just been introduced to S&W's about six months ago. It started when friend said 'you can't have too many wheel guns". My first was a Model 10-5 snub.

No use shooting outside along the coast for the next few days. The wind is rattling my shutters right now and the wind chill is supposed to be near he single digits when i am off to mass in the AM. NC has been good to this old Sandlapper for the past 40 years. Come on down to see us. I refuse to drive 5+ hours to Charlotte!

North Raleigh here and I really enjoy my one and only S&W. It's a Model 25-9 in .45 Colt. If and when i get back to work, I'd like to get a Model 19 and/or a Model 40.

N.C. all my years except the Air Force days
It is nice to meet fellow S&W lovers here in N.C., tried both manufacturers as a youngin and the Colt cylinder turned the wrong way for me, wish I had bought tons when they were still in production though. So many references to some of the places I visit fairly often. I was in Eagle's yesterday, nice place and busy as heck. I am also on the N.C. Shooters Forum but some how my user name has been messed up and I'm unable to sign on. Look forward to meeting you all one day.
Edited to add: Salisbury Area

Charlotte/MeckCo here. Originally from Garner.
Shoot at Firepower when forced to go indoors. Shoot outside at a bud's farm over in Albemarle when given the chance.
MacA is a good fella. Met him back last year to pick up a Glock. Nice Smith collection, too.
Come check out CSC & CSF sometime. Good folks over there.

My wife will be going to the WOCN conference in Charlotte this June. Coincidentally, I'll have a nice vacation in Charlotte at the same time
I'd love to get up with some other Forum members while I'm there.

No I don't have anywhere to go locally to empty brass. My wife and I did go to the range in Belmont on Tuesday's, to take advantage that being ladies day. But have not been in a while. I have been thinking about going to the new place on 150 but have not yet.
I am very familiar with Perth road. I go down that way 2 or 3 times a week.
What shops do you go to locally?

the only shop i deal with is LKN firearms on 115 right as you get into corneilus from davidson... those are the only guys i will deal with, they are nice, honest, and helpful compared to other shops that i will not name... and shooters there in belmont seems like the best range around as far as price of the lane and you can bring your own ammo with a 2 dollar charge and the place on 150 "point blank" i think here in 2 weeks im meeting some guys from a local forum, so hopefully things go well at that range. from the info on their website it seems like a decent place

anyone live in NC
I have a place in Horse Cove between Highlands & Cashiers that I get to
whenever I can; I'll be there next week. Only one S&W on hand there.
I'll be at least a part time resident eventually.
