I've always wanted a double rifle, preferably one of those big elephant thumpers. And I'd sure like one of those Hammerli free pistols on the martini action, even though I can't shoot it to anywhere near its potential. The Borchardt is the one automatic pistol that figures in my dreams; but any of these is so far above what I could spend it's next to impossible.

I'm jonesing for a SP101 4.2" 357, awaiting the Gen 4 Glock 20SF 10mm, a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow with EERW work and another 45 1911.

Me Too............
Well Cyrano, I too would love a big double. I'm fond of the Merkel .470 Nitro express (140-2). What a behemoth! I have an avenue to get one at dealer cost whenever I want to, but $7500 is still a truck-load of money. They are around $10,800-$11,500 on the shelf. For now, I go into my LGS and handle one when I need a fix. My friend has taken elephant with his. I also live vicariously through him on occasion. I don't have an honest need for one, but Wow, I sure would enjoy it. Ammo is around $180 a box for the shooter stuff to nearing $400 for the bone breakers. Looks like it is off to the LGS for a date with my personal drooling towel.

Good luck on that BM, I feel ya. Personally my next purchase will be a bug, I'm thinking an Airweight 38 or a Ruger LCR. I sure would like a 625 though.

Colt Lightweight Commander 38 Super..light and easy to carry,
but I could also settle for a S&W 25-5 4" 45 Colt.

Hey Caj
It's always easier to ask for forgiveness than to get permission. Go for it.

What I want
I'd jump on a Model 10 or pre-Model 10 2" snubby round butt. Or the same in 4" standard barrel. Used to have one of each but traded them off like a fool.
Wouldn't mind having the new Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle in .308. Got to fire a few rounds through one at the range with the irons. Way cool - light weight, good action, decent iron sights - might not even get a scope!

I'm hoping to find a NIB Ruger SR1911 under the Christmas tree. Just waiting for it to arrive at my LGS.
And I'm also wanting a Sig Sauer 1911-22 in OD. That looks like a great trainer for the Ruger and tons of fun.

One of the Lipsey's/Ruger .45 Flattop convertibles. OR...a local shop has a scarce Kimber Custom II in .38 Super with the polished slide & frame flats. OR...if I win the lottery, another shop has a sweeeet Merkel O/U 20 Ga with ejectors and two triggers.
