A friend of mine has been working to open a public range in deep South Dade County (Miami). He's had 2 zoning meetings that didn't go anywhere for several reasons. The next board meeting is Jan 25. This range will have a pistol area, a 100 yd rifle and a 500 yd rifle. Even when the zoning issues are resolved it may be a while before it is up and running. If anyone is this far south you should have another choice of ranges fairly soon. Anyone interested or involved feel free to comment.

Many well-intentioned range development schemes fall off the tracks for want of professional planning, and, once KO'd by planners or zoning commissions, are usually doomed --- it's like alligator wrestling --- important to get it done right the first time...
