You've just reminded me of something I'm planning on trying soon No matching pistols, but I've got a M64 and a Ruger Service Six to give it a go with.

I don't have pictures but I have two 28-2s with 6 in. barrels but I am old and there is no way for me to use both hands at the same time. One thing and one hand at a time. Larry

Default I own several matched pairs of handguns

I try dual handed shooting every so often. I can't hit squat with my left hand.

Pair of pre 29's and a pair of pre 17's. Never tried dual shooting but with these being opposite ends of the shooting spectrum it should be fun trying.

How about a set and a pair and a pair with a spare.
1948 K22 and K38.
A pair of 10-8s. One stays at the 'puter, the other beside the bed.
High Powers.
As to two handed shooting, it's a great way to burn up twice the ammo to little effect. I prefer the concept of sustained fire.

I can't say I've shot these two at the same time, but the few times I tried it with other guns it didn't work so well. I'm much more efficient with one gun and a spare mag or speedloader.

Now THAT's a neat idea... I have a pair of K-22s ('50 and '53), a pair of 65s with 3 inch barrels and pair of 4006s. Maybe l need a pair of slim Jim holsters for the K-22s and a double gun shoulder rig for the 4006s.

Is it just the lighting or is there something a little funny about the last four inches of that scattergun barrel?

I've got a few pairs of pistols, but the only ones I've shot at the same time were my Colt Single Action Army Revolvers in ..45 Colt during a SASS Cowboy Match.

I also have a matched pair of Colt SAA revolvers in .22lr (Bat Masterson's) a pair of Colt 1911's, Smith M36's M 18's M15's, Colt 1903 Pocket Pistols, and maybe a few more I forgot about as being pairs.

Just these two. I've never fired them at the same time. One of them I've never fired (Only because I just got it).

My brother and father both have Ruger Mark II Target models (with the stainless slab side bull barrels, and the cocobola thumb rest grips). My father happens to be left handed, so those two work real well for the dual handed shooting. I have never really looked at a group though, usually just pick a can and start shooting at it, not sure which bullets are hitting it though...

I have always wanted to jump through a door frame shooting two pistols at the same time in full gangster mode. But the only matched pair I have are two Colt Woodsmen. I think that would look rather strange....

I have several pairs. None are Smiths.

Until this week, I had matching Pythons with elkhorns from Patrick Grashorn. I just got new grips for one of my SAA, so they are a pair. I also have a pair of Uberti Artillery Models for backup for CAS-I have shot CAS with them.

I do have some "sets"- 4" and 6" Model 28s, 5.5 and 3.5 Vaqueros, a Colt and a Smith 1917. I need to shoot them simultaneously sometime.

Fishslayer...Ya beat me to it!! LOL. One of my favorite pics.

I've tried dual wielding several times...generally with pretty poor results.....other than if making a lot of NOISE was the goal.

Guess I need to find a mate for one of them, sounds like fun. Hope this doesn't entice me to purchase six more guns, and double my ammo supply.

Actually Jeff Cooper is where I first read it: If you are involved in a shooting your weapon will sit in an evidence locker for weeks, months, years, or forever. Same if it has to be sent back for repairs, it will be down for some time.

With a spare there is no new muscle memory issues to deal with.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but shooting two guns at once is just as fun with two guns that don't match. Especially a magnum revolver and a high capacity auto.

Got a pair of 6" p&r nickle 29-2s and a coupla Glock 20s. Not quite identical, but G20s nonetheless. Different gens and one is a 20c with an Olympic 5 1/2" Olympic Arms barrel, light trigger, titanium fp, ext slide release. In both cases I got the second one because of the price.

I'll try out the 29's at the same time someday, keep you posted. Wait, one is a safe queen. Trying both g20s with high caps sounds like fun.

With a spare there is no new muscle memory issues to deal with.
To need that many spares you must be planning a lot of shootouts. Larry

Minor query.

When you say "shoots both at the same time", do you mean actually pulling both triggers at the same time, so both guns are going off at the same time BAM!!, like you see so often in the movies? Or alternately, one in each hand, left right left right left right bam bam bam bam bam bam?

I forgot about these.... If we were playing cribbage there are 6 pairs there.
Throw in the one on the side (it's really not a duplicate) and make it 10 pair.

I have two pairs but have never shot them together. One pair are two Colt Commandos 100 digits apart.

The other aren't identical but 4" and 6" barrel High-Standard H-D Military.

reddogge, those Commandos are nice!!

In the late 80's thru mid 90's I use to enjoy shooting my model 65 in one hand and a 4 inch stainless Python in the other...I'd empty the cylinders once or twice towards the end of our shooting just for kicks...shooting like this as fast as you can at an empty gallon jug in a small pond is a blast!!!

I own a Glock 17 in all of the first three generations which essesntially are identical in size, weight & function...have a couple Glock 19's too....but I haven't dual shot with any due a number of reasons...I think I'm gonna have to try one of these days though!

Hedre's a few pair, but I don't shoot them together. In fact, I rarely shoot the Mausers.

1. Pair of cone hammer Mausers.

2. Pair of French Military MAC 50 pistols. These are still regulation in the French Army, although other services may use the SIG P 2022; consequently they are pretty scarce. They came out of Vietnam by various means and are quite early in the production run, either A or B SN prefix. Of the later ones, made by MAS, there are probably only one or two in the US. The leather holster is the Mle 1948, and has two slots for the flap, so it can take the smaller Ruby as well as the Mac 50. The web holster and magazine pouch are airborne issue.

3. Two Model 59s. not too many SNs apart.

4. Two Model 39s. The rather ratty looking one at the top is a Pre 39, while the lower one is a middle of the production 39-2.

5. Two Model 317s. One has Speigel grips, the other one the rather hideous wood ones that were original. I replaced the cylinder latch thumbpices with the old style. They weigh next to nothing and I do carry them at the same time when out in the desert; one loaded with shot, the other with HPs.

I practiced both ways. But shooting two guns at different targets at the same time (bam!) is a lot more fun than shooting them alternately or even at the same time at the same target.
