Now just correct left for center mass...
The Press and Standard,Jan. 10,2012
paraphrase..LEO goes to E.R. to interview man with accidental GSW to the right hand while cleaning his "9".He explained that he was cleaning the gun to sell, because he was cleaning it Dec. 23 and shot himself in the left hand!!
To quote Tommy Lee Jones in No Country for Old Men,"you just can't make up stuff like this".

The way I see people handle guns at the range, somehow I am not surprised.
One of my friends was there the day that one of our more brilliant shooters discharged his 12ga putting it back in his car.
Yep, killed it. Shot it right in the dashboard. Wouldn't start either...very close to new Cadillac.

And the Darwin award for January 2012, goes to... This may even put him in the running for the overall 2012 grand winner.

About 9 months ago someone managed to shoot the index finger off their left hand while at the firing line for a local indoor range. Now, I can somewhat understand this happening while field stripping some pistols but that is an activity that is completely banned in the range booths. So, I really have to wonder why anyone would put their finger over the muzzle of a handgun and then pull the trigger.

Sounds to me that selling it was a good idea for this extremely talented individual.

Lets give this guy some credit, he's ambidextrous. Shows he can shoot with either hand. (One of them even wounded!)
