Wink Saturday

My daughters and I went to the Waukesha gun show today, got there about 1130 or so. Walked around for a little bit saw an older guy selling a 27-4 for $950, saw a 686 4 inch for $695 and a 10-6 for $600 saw soem ofther S&Ws but ended up buying a 4 inch Ruger Securyt six for $425 with box and 2 gips almost unsed. Daughter bought a crystal skiull and a sheath knife. Then stopped at Shooter's and walked by the used gun counter before hitting the restroom and sawa 3913 with 2 mags and Hogue rubber grips for $450.00 so I bought that too.

I had been looking for a 3913 so I got lucky, then we went to Barnes and Noble.

Waukesha must be higher than Racine, I bought the Ruger person to person the other guns were private sale too and they were still at the show when I left.

A couple of gun magazines a book about the Kennedy assasination and three 1980 horror movies, and two magazines for my daughters and stuff from the snack bar for them. It is not posted against CCW so I like going there.

The weapon section is about the only reason I go to a Barnes & Noble. They carry some gun rags that I do not suscribe and they have some nice books on weaponry.

I pretty much had it figured you would buy some gun mags while there.

Sounds like a good day with the family. Wish more parents would take their kids to shows for education and family time together. We need to
continue to get the younger generation involved in the shooting sports.

When my grandson was 1, they "stuck" me with watching him one Saturday. The problem was I'd already told my buddies I'd meet them at 9:00. So I told mom and dad, sure I'd watch the little guy. And away we went to the show. He could walk pretty good, so he took one of my fingers and led me all over the show. The crowd just opened up so we could pass. Almost everyone likes a toddler that smiles. Wore him out. But I did have a dirty diaper to change before we headed home. Then he passed out for the drive.

He has 2 grandpa's. One is gunshow grandpa, the other tractor grandpa. He likes guns and tractors. Go figure.

Im guessing this was the Racine Shooters and not the West Allis one. I need to get back down there.

It was the Shooter's in Racine, I haven't been in the one in West Allis for a long time, now they are "high rent" there and one of the former managers kept trying to hose a forum member here on a gun once so I stopped going there.
