The man who raped and killed a seven year old girl in the Atlanta area and just entered a guilty plea a couple of days ago was found "unresponsive" in his cell. No details are being released as of yet other than this waste of skin is dead. SheriffOconee was just shown on the news talking about it but we know he won't be able to say anything to us about it. All I can say is, considering the gravity of what he did (raped a 7 year old and they decided to kill her so she wouldn't tell on him), I hope he suffered. A LOT.

Guy in Fort Wayne raped and killed a 8 year old a few weeks ago and got 'jail justice' twice so far and he hasn't been convicted yet, though he did confess.

His ex cellmate should get prisoner of the month award.

A twice convicted child molester moved in across the road from me three years ago. He had been in prison for ten years prior to moving in and was presented with a monthly SSI check upon his release. He managed to stay there about six months before his parole got revoked and the judge sent him back to prison for another three years. He gets out in August and thinks he wants to move back down here.....stay tuned.

Thats just terrible........................that he commited suicide instead of going out the most painful way possible. As a father of two I can only hope that the hottest spot in hell is reserved for people that hurt children.

I must have had a sheltered youth, when I got out of boot camp and was waiting to go to BUDS these guys came around with one of the sheets with squares on it taking bets on how long some guy in California was going to live after being sentenced to general population for raping and cutting the hands off a kid. I had never heard of this or anything like it so I bought a square for $5.00 and a time of 2 months or something. These guys looked at me like I was nuts or something, I guess I was, he was dead in a couple days.

I know the good Lord has a plan for everything but it sure is hard to understand how he can let bad things happen to innocent kids.

That's exactly how I feel.

My wife likes the TV show "I survived" and of course sometimes I watch it with her. It's just horrible... humans are horrible.

Always believed in castration for sex offenders, especially pedophiles. A man can die but once, but.....

We had one case like this. The guy died in the county jail waiting to go to trial. Two that will make you shake your head. In the 70's Gerald Turner the Halloween Killer as he has been called raped and tortured an 8 year old girl. Can't say how she died on this board but it had to do with sufficatting on something. When this *** got out on parole in the mid 90's the state tried to get him a job at a local recycling place. The owner refused to hire him knowing who he was. ACLU sued on his behalf and I think the amount he got was 150K. He messed up and is back in prison. The other case is David Spanbauer. Kidnapped an 11year old and after raping her choked her with an extension cord. Every day the taxpayer had to pay for a deputy to take him from the state prison in Waupun to Fond du Lac and back about 30 miles one way. Why you ask? Because the county slammer was a smoke free place and this violated his civil rights. He needed to be transported to the state facility so he could smoke. Don't you love the ACLU. To bad guys like this can only be killed once.

Maybe, but if so, the ACLU is just as bad as him! Some people are born crazy, there will always be people like that, but our country allowing a unGodly organisation to dictate stuff like that makes us sorry too.

Personaly i think capital punishment should be mandatory for rapists. A rapist should never leave prison alive. Belief that they can be rehabilitated is nonsense.

Saw on the news that this killer was also suspected of crimes in both N.C. and Va. Involved children as well.

There are some super secure cells at that prison, as it is where Ga carries out the death penalty. I am guessing he wasn't in one of the secured, suicide watch cells.

OK, this may edge awful close to politics. Sorry about that. But now you are beginning to see the problem with our SS. If the guy earned his 40 quarters, he's entitled to his SS. 40 quarters are 10 years of work. Say he was drunk all the time in his 20s, but worked from 30 to 40, then committed a bunch of crimes and went away for, say, 25 years, he'd get out of the slam at 65 and be eligible for the same amount as maybe you or me! All depends on his "highest" 40 quarters. Hard not to work that much between getting out of school and reaching 65 about 47 to 50 years later.

Same goes for illegals. If they worked it at a tax withholding job, they can get theirs from our tiny "Lockbox" as Algore put it.

In Old England it was customary for offenders to forfeit the appendages they used to commit their crimes. Thieves would lose one or both hands, slanderers would have their tongue cut out, rapists would be castrated.

Recidivism was ZERO.

But of course, modern man is SO much more enlightened these days, right?

Guys, years back I was as hard nosed and judgemental as the best of you. For better or worse I softened with age and experiance. Understand: I am fully supportive of the death penalty, but I dont abide the ideas of torture etc. Years ago I had a ex BIL that has spent the majority of his life in prision for the criminally insane. A couple years ago he was kicked loose even with my ex father in law telling the officals he needed to stay in forever. They knew better and a short while latter he killed someone. I remember visiting the inlaws about 1980. At that time he was already incarcerated for a number of years. I remember my ex MIL telling my wife what to do with his bank account that already at that time was around 50 grand! It was from SOCIAL SECURITY! He somehow got on it as a youth because of being a mental case. Now he probley is around 66 years old. I am fairly certain he must have a small fortune in his account as he has no real exspense in the insitution and probley gets a small allowance doled out by my ex or her dad!
I say either exicute the type and if we dont, I belive they still should get humane treatment as long as we keep them in a petting zoo.
This loose macho talk and chest beating of torture and sigging bubba on them in the cage doesnt go with my standards.
My dad used to tell me there is a skelton in every closet.

But we have similar cases in Germany. Only because some sort of a Psycologist tells that the inmate is not a danger to the public anymore.

So the inmate came free. And guess what. He did it again.

You cannot heal "sick sick!!!" And people who think they can understand and read people only because of a degree have to understand that!

Not quite. SSI is disability based and has nothing to do with quarters worked SSDI is based on quarters-if you work and pay-you deserve it id you become disabled or retire. SSI is the subsistance payment that usualy starts with the crazy check they get as a child and continues on through the rest of their lives-has NOTHING to do with whether you worked or not. You can't get SSI when you are in prison. Problem is who tells the SSI people that the recepient is in prison??? I wuld hope that one of the standard protocols for the department of corrections is to automatically notify the Social Security Adminitration when a guy goes to jail so they can cut his check is he is getting one but I seriously soubt tht anyone working for the government cares-after all it ain't their money

News reports this evening state that he hung himself using a sweatshirt. However long he was conscious while he hung there, it wasn't long enough compared to what his victim went through.
