I don't play but most of my friends do. Here's what happens when they get together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8IQ8...3&feature=plcp
There was roughly 30K worth of equipment there that night. Two new LesPaul's an Agile (LesPaul clone) Fender Classic, Ibanez lead, 2 Ibanez 6 string Acoustics, Ibanez 12 String Acoustic, Eddie Van Halen and I'm sure more that I'm forgetting about!
As for Audio Equipment we were running a pair of Peavy Stage Monitors (Horns and BW Woofers) off a Carvin 12 channel, Wireless Audio Technica Mic Setup, Guitar amps were Marshall, Vox and some Behringer processors thrown in for good measure.
I wish I could have captured the audio without distortion but it was SO friggen loud!

I have an Agile myself. Great project guitar, and good enough for me to gig with regularly if I need to.
Also built up and painted an EVH style guitar
Never should have let this one go
Hell, I went through too much over the last 3 years go post, so here's a link if anyone's interested:

Cool thread for sure.. Very nice studio Blues.. I'm a little more geared up for live, not much as far as recording gear. I have an old Akai DPS16 deck, still works great outdated as it is. Haven't played out in many years, just no time, I do miss it very much though. I could kick myself for the gear I sold off in the early 70s (58 les paul tv among others), not to mention the stuff that was stolen, 68 SG w/Vibrola, full 73 super lead stack...

Someone needs to duct-tape their 15-22 to their guitar. The way Ripley did with the gun and flame thrower in aliens. This way you can rock out and kill zombies at the same time!

I have 17 high condition vintage guitars. Gibson, Gretsch, and Martin. PM me if you're looking for a great investment. Nick

Very nice room you have too, jmp45 - probably more need for hearing protection in there than on the range!
Haven't gigged in anger for a while myself too (and missing it as I get older), but other than the day job paying the mortgage, I'm busy running a little recording business from my studio. It's a vocation, for sure

Could be a tinnitus zone for sure. May not be as loud as standing right next to an sbr muzzle with a brake but I'll bet pretty close. Getting older I'm finding that I can't stand the sound pressure levels like I could in the 60s and 70s, especially the highs. I still like to push it occasionally, but not for a considerable length of time. These old amps sound best at a higher volume to get their voice and they bloom nicely. Be smart concerning your hearing you youngsters.

interesting thread! I play a 1969 David Russell Young acoustic dreadnought (similar to Martin D28, just a lot better).
Anyway, a funny thought occurred to me. Can you use a guitar hardcase (obviously with the guitar removed) to transport your M&P 15-22 on an airplane as checked luggage? I'm trying to avoid purchasing a rifle hard case just to use for plane trips.

No pics but here's the run down:
'63 Jazzmaster
'93 Les Paul Studio w/ a perpetually cracked headstock
Washburn Strato-like of unknown vintage
Cheap but decent playing classical of unknown brand
Peavey 90w 1x12 tube whose model # eludes me at the moment
Fender Twin Reverb from the early 70's
A bunch of decent recording gear and mics from my former life as an recording engineer that I haven't touched in years and should probably be sold off at this point
