Smith & Wesson Letter of Authenticity
I ordered one of these about two months ago and haven't seen or heard anything. I was just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with these and what that experience is as far as turn around time.

I think Mr. Jinks is running about a three month turnaround. Never know though, might be in the mail when you get home!

I have request many over the years. I used to get them back in about 3 weeks but have heard the turn-around time is much longer now.

It's all part of Roy's plan. The longer the letter takes, the older your gun is, and hence, more valuable.

ME TOO!
In the interest of self improvement, a few other geezers & I are starting a chapter of procrastinators annomous.
If we ever get around to scheduling a meeting, I'll try to find time to shoot you a PM.
The way things are going now, It'll be about a month before I can get time to put off any new projects.

Have you received anything to date?
I ordered a Letter of Authenticity almost six months ago and have heard nothing. I contacted them at the 2 month point, and they said it would take several months.

I would assume it got lost.
Send a copy of the letter with a cover letter explaining AND a copy of the canceled check.

Dear sir..
We have researched your Prop Rod and find the it has been reported missing from a safe in Florida..
At this point we find that it has no value at all.
We hope this helps....

A letter I mailed on March 26 arrived today, which makes it just under 8 week's turn around time. Not bad, Colt letter's go 16 week's or more.

S&W Letter of Authenticity
As most of the threads discussing the Roy Jinks "Letters of Authenticity" are years old, I wonder if others have had more recent success, and what the time frame might be currently. Is the charge still $75.00?
I'm intending to sell a "Pre-Model 16", and would like a letter to accompany the future sale.

The current turn around time is running just 2-3 weeks. May have gone up a little as Roy was on vacation, but usually Don can keep up.
