Regrets Anyone..?????
Well..about 6 months ago....I got a wild hair and had to have an Interarms Luger...with a 6" barrel....and the guy I was trading with wanted my S&W Model 36-1 with the 3" heavy barrel.....after some haggling..we finally traded....couple days later....realization hit me....."Wish I hadn't traded that 3" barrel S&W"......Im sure you guys have done much the same thing....traded a pistol off....and shortly thereafter regretted it....well I did....until last nite...when I found the Twin of it for sale by a Dealer out west.....its now paid for..FFL copy sent...hopefully will be here end of week and i will post photos.....this time.....it will NOT be traded off..!!..and as its a twin of the one I had...hope to sneak it by "The Boss" .....now Im looking for a good used brown holster for it........if anyone out there has one that will fit the 36-1 with the 3' barrel...let me know....and I'm looking for a Belt holster by the way.......This is a Super site....altho I keep getting in trouble by being on it......this is the 2nd S&W I've purchased last two months..

Many years ago, in one of the gun pubs, there was the story about two friends who went to a gun show. One had a nice rifle, the other two empty 30/30 cases and a pocketknife with a broken blade. They went in opposite directions around the show. When they met up six hours later, the one who started with the nice rifle had two empty 30/30 cases and a pocket knife with a broken blade, and the other had a nice rifle. I would be the one who started with the rifle; yes, a regret or two!

I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Is it better to regret something you have done or haven't done?

At some point a person has to learn if he is a good trader or a sucker who likes to trade.
I am a poor trader and don't do it.
memories but not regrets---I learned and it was a lesson--not a regret.
Blessings

Bank Commercial
Howdy,
These stories remind me of a bank commercial running on network TV in the St. Louis area.
A father asks his ice cream eating son "Where did you get that ice cream cone?". The son replies "I traded my new bicycle for it". The announcer goes on to say "Teach your children about money."
I don't know what it is, but sometimes the need for change overcomes common sense.
Thanks
Mike

I traded a Mini 14 and cash for a Socom 16. I miss the Mini but I don't regret the trade. But it will feel funny paying twice what I did the first time for a new Mini when I replace her.

You got me too! I suppose if I had stopped to notice the poster's name, I would have known better. I guess outrage took over...

My regrets have been over the guns I did not buy. There were a couple that still sting, but I didn't have the money (such is life).

Just a poor joke. Anything involving Elvis is a poor joke.
My only regret is having ever heard of Elvis.

Coulda been worse. I apologize in advance.
The Sex Pistols - My Way - YouTube
This one, on the other hand, completely blew my mind. There are young people today that can actually sing and play music. Whodathunkit?

With apologies for the thread drift, speaking of young people who can sing, I had never heard of Amy Winehouse until she died. Then a couple of weeks ago, my wife said she was pretty good, so I gave her a listen. She is - was - really something. If you haven't yet, check her out on YouTube or the like.
