Default Credit card theft

After seeing this, I went into my bank and ordered a card without the radio chip....you can get them without it if you want...just have to ask...

Thanks, sip! My present card expires in a couple of months; I'll have to remember to ask for one without the radio.

I keep mine wrapped in foil inside my billfold. Wallmart is also selling an aluminum card case just for this sort-a thing. they are $10.99 I believe.

I think all credit cards should also have a PIN number. Retailers should also be REQUIRED to ask for ID when a card is used.

My credit card/number without a chip has just been hacked for the 3rd or 4th time. Just received a call yesterday from the fraud department of suspicious activity. We hardly ever use it. I use it for some online purchases at major secure companies.

I think I would notice someone scanning my butt

Why don't they just put your picture on the card just like your Driver's License.

Why don't we just get the mark of the beast already, so we can get to the Apocalypse?

Good info. I just received a replacement card and it did not include the RFID.
Maybe they have realized that this is not a good idea.

Paranoia. It's not just for breakfast any more.
It's not a question of IF you're paranoid.
ARE YOU PARANOID ENOUGH?

I just use cash as much as possible.
Have to explain to the 20 somethings what it is.

Thanks for the heads-up, Sip.

Thanks for the heads up on these cards. I will check mine. I also don't use it much but my pockets get so heavy carrying all that money. Just wears me out.

Down here in the very deep south ALL cards require a pin number, Credit and EFTPOS. I have been amazed when traveling in Europe and your fine country that the signature on the back of my card was all that is required to debit my account.
