Default A Parade of Fighters, WWII-present

http://www.youtube.com/v/RU1oB8sGyYM

Found this video on another board. Shows many of the major US fighter aircraft of the past few decades, and Spitfires.
Also shows some famous pilots. I saw Bud Anderson and a P-51 painted like his Old Crow.

I hope you'll like this as much as I did.

Besides the fighters, has a Helldiver, a Dauntless, B-25's, etc.

I think the Wildcat is the later FM-2 version with a taller rudder and more power.

Truely my heros are the WWII generation. As I started out my working carrer I worked with many WWII vets. Survivors of the Battan Death March, ground crews, combat infatry, Supply grunts, many many others.

Most of my uncles were WWII vets, friends I have made over the years, a lot were WWII vets I found out later. One was a scout sniper in Africa and Italy.

As an apprentice electrician I worked with a vet from the pacific theater. He retired from the job I was working with him on. The foreman one day asked Burt what he regretted he never doing. Burt said that he always wanted to meet Mae West! Well on the last day on the job we gave Burt a retirement present he would never forget-------a strip-o-gram dressed up like Mae West!!!!!
I think we made his day to say the least.

None of them ever complained about the hardships they endured. Never knew they were vets unless I asked. Most were reserved about talking about thier time in the service until they got to know me better.
Great men.

John

Outstanding video! Nothing like airpower to get the heart pumping. God Bless all the vets. And those young men from WWII - there's a reason they are called the Greatest Generation- because they truly were.
