Centurion Liberty Gun Safe
Hey guys I this new gun safe today for my birthday. It has this protective shipping black looking tape over the white fire strips for where the door closes and it says remove it before use. Well the problem is its taking forever it just comes off in chunks and there is alot of it all the way around the inside channel where the door closes. Has any of you got one of these and ran into this before or have any advice on removing the tape. It just wont hardly come off at all. Take me a full day to get it off the rate its taking.

Try a hairdrier to soften it up.

I'd probably just use a razor blade & cut the foam out, leaving the pull-off part alone.

Its like hard strips of fire rated white stuff about a inch or so wide all the way around the door opening. It says in the manual to remove the black tape thats on top of the white strips before using. Says tape is on it to protect during shipping. There is no foam to remove just the black tape that wont come off.

Yeah, be careful not to remove the gasket that expands under heat, which makes is fire and water resistent.
