A big puppy. Sorry about the picture being blurry. I don't have digital pictures of him.
What kind of puppy is this little guy?

With the Chewbacca clue, maybe a fawn Bouvier des Flandres, or more likely a Briad with the hair over the ears.

I don't have my glasses on, so it looks like an old African lioness to me. Is it eating your wifes hand? What gun do you use on a lion?
My Uncle Ben loved to say, "I thought a cat was a rabbit 'till I got closer and saw it was a bail of hay".

Yup, Briard. Probably one of the coolest breeds. His ears are cropped unlike Buck Bundy.
He was not that big but with all of that fur it made him look huge. 85 lbs.
I sure miss him. He is a legend around here and every time his name comes up he gets bigger. People loved him and would go to pet him before I could warn them. That dog bit more people than i can count. Once he knew you he was your best friend though. Unless he just didn't like you. I can count those on one hand.
Wishing I had more pictures.

Bird.
Looks like the one that landed on my car in the driveway. He looked so cute he jumped on my shoulder.
I went and got a cage, and bird stuff. He would sing and talk. They spread bird DUST everywhere
Most vicious little (insert foul word here) of a xyz--Teal I have ever seen!
Let him loose again, now you have him.

I found the bird in my Oak. Or should I say he found me. Same thing happened, I bought a cage and everything. He's actually a cool little bird.

Mine seemed nice but would nail you with his beak. Teals do have the white powdery dust that gets everywhere. I kept him on the back porch next to the BBQ grill

We've had a couple of Bouviers, and have always liked Briards.
Here's a couple of photos of the hairy beasts.
Tess, the one laying on the deck seat, was a super-intelligent dog, and very protective and discerning. Two incidents come to mind. A contractor had been here to measure for new windows, Tess had been introduced and everything was cool. However, a few minutes after he left, he decided he needed to come back and measure one more thing, so he let himself into the back yard unannounced. Next things we hear a big ruckus, and Tess was doing a very credible "bark and hold" on the guy, he was backed up against the house in a corner with his clipboard covering his -er - "privates".
In another case my wife answered the door for the UPS driver to sign for something, told him to wait while she got Tess settled, but the fool opened the door and advanced into the house. Tess knocked my wife aside and nailed the guy in the stomach, full bite. He starts yelling about how he has to report that, and my wife just tells him he's stupid for opening the door and entering without being asked. We never heard anything more about it.
The other Bouvier, Nikki, was just a big lover, but looked massive with all the hair. She was a natural herder, but not too many sheep to take care of in the city, so her job ended up being a therapy dog, doing nursing home and hospital visits.
We miss them both.

I love the Bouviers, A customer of mine had a male that was also a therapy dog. Big baby.
I currently have a 8yr. old male Giant Schnauzer. He's a big baby until you tic him off but you really have to be a dummy to try that.
My other is a Portuguese Sheep Dog. Shes a pistol. At about 40lbs. she's really a tough little girl and lets the big boy get away with only so much.
Both are special but a Briard is a total trip to have. If you respect them they are real hams. They are fearless and very loyal. My Briard could drink wine out of a wine glass and not knock it over. Sneaky guy. Never a dull moment.

Stretching to stay on subject....
My current Cockatiel came via my FFL's mother.
As for the dog biting folk who went to pet him, some dogs do not like humans making the first approach. My buddy in England told me the first time I was in his house, "Ignore the Dobermann". So I did. ten minutes later when it realised the terrier was getting all the attention, it demanded that I pet him.
I used this same approach with my first meeting with any large dog and it seems to work. My neighbour was walking her pit/shetland pony cross off the leash one night when I opened the garage door to take out the trash. The dog was at the end of my drive and attempted to stare me down, but I just looked at him, said "Hello" walked straight past and put out my trash. As I was arranging the containers he wandered up and headbutted my hip with a sort of questioning "Oowrr?". He's been my buddy ever since.
