Default Which gun to send?

I put a deposit down with a gunsmith back in August to have a pistol accurized.I have narrowed it down to either a 10-5 4" or a 945 with 3.75" barrel.I had planned all along to send the revolver maybe add new 5" barrel... Guess I better stick with that plan.

Just curious; what mods will you get for your accurizing
project? All I've ever done was trigger mods, but anything
that'll help my shooting would be a good thing. TACC1

I had a friend, now deceased, who had a S&W #28 worked over by Stroh. That gun is a precision machine, now in the possession of his son, who has no appreciation for revolvers. Back then, Ray spent close to $600.00 for the work he had done.

S&W offers several different tuning packages for both revolvers and pistols at competitive prices, but you will incur shipping charges both ways. If you live near Comer, GA you can save the shipping charges. I am certain you will be happy with the work done by Stroh or the factory.

I returned a S&W #63 to the factory that had been thrown from a vehicle. It was repaired, asphalt removed from the scratches, scratches removed from the gun, and the finish restored for a very reasonable price.

I think I would put that money into more ammo and lots of practice.

I read somewhere that the K-38 target guns were no more intrinsically accurate than other K models, they were just easier to shoot. If that is true, I'd bet there are not many shooters who could benefit from a more accurate model 10. Spend a few dollars on getting its trigger working to your tastes and spend the rest on snugging up the groups on the auto...which probably needs it.

At least that's the way I'd lean.

All those operations looked reasonable, but I saw no
mention of replaced ancient eyeballs. Guess I'll stick to what works
for me. Good area coverage. TACC1

Are you that good of a shot that you're not going to regret spending all that money on gun mods instead of more ammo to shoot when some guy with a rusty "stock" model 10 outshoots you at the range?
