Thanks, guys. I always keep my eyes peeled if I'm working around the lakefront, and watch where I step when I get out of the truck up on the mountain.
The good part about this job is there is no push.If you get too hot you can get in the truck, turn on the air, ride around and cool off,and stay hydrated.
The DNR Rangers there are all really good guys, and they know I'm ex LE,so we hit it off well.
If you work there one time and they call you to come back the next summer, they like you and you did something right. I think my partner from last year is coming back too.We were a good team. Of course a little extra income doesn't hurt either.Eric said he was pretty sure he would be getting us more money this year but the job will be only 4 1/2 months instead of 6. That's enough of the humidity for me anyway.
I have my own place to keep up on off days.Living in the woods is year 'round maintenance.
