Grips or tac light
Playing with the idea of either CT grips or light. Which one would you get and why. I'm leaning toward grips mainly because of compactness. All input welcome.

Depends. Lasers are for fun but not necessary...on a home defense gun, lights can be a life saver but on a concealed carry gun, they might be overkill.

Not a fan of either, a good tactical flashlight will achieve similar results in blinding an attacker until you can shoot/escape. By the time a laser comes into play in a gunfight, it'll be too late.

I strongly disagree. Spend as much time as I have with a laser and you'll see.
No they aren't a necessity. But they sure help.
To answer the OP's question, Laser Grips AND a good hand held light.

They are not mutually exclusive. However, while I don't have any laser-equipped weapons, I sure like weapon-mounted lights on any gun used for home or camp defense, where you don't have any worries about training a gun on whatever "bump in the night" subject you're illuminating. I wish I could somehow mount a weaponlight on a 629. Meanwhile, I have to settle for a Glock 21, a Ruger K77/44 carbine with a bit of Picatinny rail on the fore-end for mounting a SureFire flashlight, and etc.
