With such great artist like Randy Travis, Dwight Yoakam, Ronnie Milsap, Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley, Travis Tritt, Clint Black, Vince Gill, Kenny Chesney, Mickey Gilley, Reba McEntire, Chrystal Gayle, and the list goes on and on. Its too hard to pick out the favorites ?

Rarely listen in on the country front, I don't care much for it, but have been known to have some Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Robert Earl Keene and Pat Green around.

I also collect vintage 30's Zenith console radios (thinkin' bout another possible thread).
In addition, I collect vintage record players and the like, just turned up some classic Hank Sr., Jumbalaya.
Good tunes! Perfect for a lazy Sunday with bad weather!

I've seen a lot of artists named here that I really enjoy, BUT the two I love the most are:
The King of Country Music-Roy Acuff-singing "Wabash Cannonball"
and Earl Scruggs, performing with Lester Flatt, doing "Foggy Mountain Breakdown".

You mean I'm not the only person in the world that loves that version? But then I like anything with the Chieftains. Especially Irish Heartbeat with the "Belfast Cowboy" himself, Van Morrison.

When I was younger we'd go to a local watering hole (mostly cops) and the juke box played Patsy Cline, constantly.
I can still hear Crazy...
How about some ORB, Elvira
Or Hank Jr Family Tradition

All of the above are great
But, I am I the only one who likes almost everything that Tom T. Hall did?
Also, "The Winner" by Bobby Bear cracked me up more than any song that I had ever heard!! It still does
Ray Price "For The Good Times"
"Four Walls" & "Cool Clear Water"
They just keep comming, don't they?
Hobbyist, I can see this thread going on forever. You have really struck a nerve!!!!!

I gotta add George Strait to my list. "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind?" "They Call Me the Fireman," "All My Ex's Live In Texas, "You Look So Good In Love." Seen him in concert twice. Great shows!

I missed this thread last April...
Hello Darlin' by Conway Twitty was always a favorite of mine...
the original "Statue of a Fool" by Jack Green is an awesome country ballad w/ a lot of heart...
and of course, as already repeatedly mentioned...George Jones w/ "He stopped loving her today"...is probably my all time favorite.
