Not much on country music so can't name a song as such but I loved to watch a couple of country singers when they performed. One was Shania Twain and the other was Crystal Gayle. Wow - couple of good lookers there!

"On the wings of a snow white dove, he sends his pure white love...a sign from above...on the wings of a dove".
-Ferlin Husky
I went to a fish fry at my Church last night, and was suprised they never even heard of this song! But, it's ok, we had er' tuned in to WSM.

Here is something different, Swedish sisters, who sing (beautiful vocals) in English, Americana type music.
According to one source "this song is a homage to two of the sisters' favorite Country-Rock songwriting partnerships - Gram Parsons with Emmylou Harris, and Johnny Cash with June Carter."
First Aid Kit - Emmylou

Favorite country artists, Willie Nelson & Waylon Jennings
Songs, one by each of them.
On The Road Again & Good Hearted Woman.
They are songs that describe my life in the late 60's thru the 70's.
Country has always been my favorite music genre, like most all the older stuff and some of the newer.

A different one.....
"What are those things with big black wings" by Charlie Louvin just slays me.
You know, Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves weren't really that 'country'.

Dancing with my bride and holding her close
many years ago, to either:
Hank Snow: "Now and Then There's a Fool Such as I"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtJz_Wm-gG0
or:
George Jones: "I Always Get Lucky With You"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9-_jwc-Q-w
(If she's half way there, the last one will put her over the edge)

Couldn't pick one favorite, but these three I have liked since I was very young, and still think they are great.
Paper Rosie, Gene Watson.
Country Bumpkin, Cal Smith.
Old Dogs, children, and watermelon wine. Tom T. Hall

My all time fav-o-rite song has to be a awesome song sung by Mac Davis.
Its Hard to be Humble
I love this song because I can relate so much to it. My Wife and Daughter also think so.

Speaking of Willie, here's my latest new favorite. I didn't check all the previous posts, but since the last post before today was from before this song was released, I don't think it's been mentioned yet:

If you're like me, good ole' country music just does something for your sole. I hope wherever you are, you are in good company and are in the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.
Time, it's been time, for another:
It may be a sad song, but there is love in it. Tune into WSM for more great music...

I like most all of the country western singers and western swing bands having grew up on just about every song mentioned in all of the posts before me. I have always been an Elvis fan too. It is very hard to pick a favorite song or singer because that would depend on the day and the mood I happened to be in. Not that I am moody but you do know what I mean because some songs just come to you.
I didn't see Asleep at The Wheel mentioned, or maybe I missed it. Ray Benson and the group have a new album out recently with the title of STILL THE KING and the songs are based on old Bob Wills tunes. Check out the one with George Strait singing SOUTH OF THE BORDER or the song with Willie Nelson and the Quebe sisters singing the old song NAVAJO TRAIL.
I grew up with my Dad singing songs like Mona Lisa, Roly Poly, South of the Border and many more. My Mom was a Frankie Lane and Eddy Arnold fan.
Pick a favorite----can't do it.
