Default Qualifications today

Spent most of the day at the range today. Qualified with 3 Glocks, an 870P, an M4 and a Model 19-6. My job is so cool! They pay me to shoot!

Always a good time! We have our training and quals in a couple of weeks, the 14th and 15th. I'll be shooting my new FNP-45 Tactical (transitioning from a 1911 for a duty weapon), at least one 1911 (probably the Behlert Mini), and a SIG 556.

We have a big time. For those that bring thier own .45 ammo they are allowed to shoot the Thompsom M1A1.

Yeah those were the days. Now that I'm retired I have to buy all my own ammo!

jbull380,

Stay safe because you also get paid for getting shot at.

That's cool. A few years ago one of the guys that was assigned to MDEA brought his HK UMP .45 and let us play with it. Nothing like rock 'n roll, especially with the state's ammo!

Got that right. I was a LE Firearms Instructor and at least twice a month I did my shift in the range running everyone on the shift qualifications.

There was a lot of down time waiting for officers to show up, I spent the down time seeing how much department ammo I could go through.

At the same time I was in the AK National Guard running their marksmanship program. Read that to mean MORE FREE BULLETS.

I'm retired now, even though I cast most of my bullets it still cost me a mint to shoot.

In fact I was going over my budget and realize my monthy shooting budget exceeds my mortgage payment.
