Bart Skelton
Has anyone ever read Bart Skelton's book? I have read some of his articles and although he is not quite the writer his father was, he's not bad in his own right.

His father would be tough to stand up against as a gun writer.
Both, have an individual style.

Know Bart quite well as we lived in the same NM town. Great guy and good writer, but few can compare to his Dad. Never knew Skeeter as he died a year before I moved there.

I figure ol' Bart is like a new dog, always living in the shadow of the old dog. No two dogs are ever the same, no matter how much we want 'em to be. Ain't his fault, and he seems to know his stuff too, so I welcome him, but I never expect him to be a carbon copy of his dad.

iKor, Ditto. Skeeter could really put away the sauce. Whether that made him a better writer, I don't know. Bart does OK in his own style, but if he wrote a book, I haven't seen it. Ed.

I have read his book and enjoyed it.We have a friend in common and have exchanged emails, he seems like one of the good guys. Wish he would write another book.

I ordered a copy of his book since I will have plenty of time to read it while recouping.

I've met Bart a couple of times. He's an ICE supervisor south of me.
He came up here once for an immigration round-up, and I got to bounce a gang-banger off the hood of a car with him.
He's a really nice guy, and a good lawman. I enjoy his writing, and will look for his book.

I met him when he was starting out as a stater back in the '80s, and he was very nice back then to a kid working in a gun store after college. I enjoy reading his columns and have sort of been back-burner considering picking up a copy of his book. Thank you for the reminder.

Skeeter's shadow is a large one to live in.
Bart's a member here, but doesn't stop in often. I talked to him once when I sold him a gun. A nice gentleman.
I need to get his book.
