Default Buyer Beware Auction

Was viewing some different S&W's on a popular Gun Buying auction site, and there is a seller who has a S&W 745 10th anniversary edition. The seller has 2 different 745's posted in the add, one with fixed novak & one with an adjustable rear. The seller also mentions the gun is compensated, but I don't see a compensator on either gun pictured.

**UPDATE. Emailed the seller asking which picture was the gun for sale. He responded the one with pachmayer grips (not the wood gripped model pictured as well). I then commented on the lack of compensator, for which he has responded he posted the auction with "Stock photos" of a S&W 745, and that the one he has for sale is compensated. So the actual gun is not even pictured in the auction.

Wow just checked on the auction I mentioned above, and someone purchased it. Wonder what kind of recourse the buyer will have if they aren't happy with the gun?

1st Email to seller:
Quote:
Which S&W 745 is the one for sale in this auction? You have 2 different guns posted in photos.
1st Response from Seller:
Quote:
It's the 10 year IPSC edition...single action,
I don't have the original wood grips just the Pachmyer Grip version...the wood grip pic just shows the logo better.
2nd Email to Seller:
Quote:
Thanks for getting back to me, was confused by 2 different pictures. Also your add says the gun is compensated, and I don't see a compensator on it.
2nd Response from Seller:
Quote:
Sorry about that, I took the pictures from stock
photos. I am at work and used what I could find available. The pistol has 2 small ports milled into the slide. I bought the gun from a Smith & Wesson collector who wanted to make room in his safe for something else. I can send you the serial number if you want to research the specific pistol.
Auction ended with the "stock photos," not the actual gun for sale.

Wow. I wouldn't be too happy about that. Hopefully, it gets cleared up before the gun ships.

Exclamation

The bottom pic shows the pistol with the safety off, the hammer down, and the trigger back against the trigger stop.

The only way I can figure that would happen is if there is a broken spring.

Wow. Scary that he would put it on an auction.

"I'm at work, so i posted pictures that AREN'T of the gun you are buying".

Sounds shady as hell.... I feel sorry for the buyer.

Up for Auction...beautiful, young, smart, well endowed, rich woman with a Ph.d in economics. She cooks, runs her own company and is a sports enthusiast. The photo attached is a stock photo taken at Wal-Mart but closely resembles the woman being auctioned. Buyer pays all shipping, necessary medical costs and feeding requirements. Certificate of authenticity included. Cashier's check only. Will go fast so bid early!
