Would you do this to your floor
I posted this on another forum and got quite a few different responses,i of course said heck no.
What say you
Btw here is the recipe
Copper Pennies + Clear Resin = Beautiful Floor If you want to try this: Save this picture and go to your local Big Box Home Improvement store and ask them what type of Clear Resin would work the best and what kind of under-lament would be needed. In this picture they had a concrete floor to work with. Yes, it would be cheaper than the average floor, if you did the work yourself. The price, including the cost of the pennies would probably range from $2.50 to $3.50 a square foot. - Paul Cobb. >US cents made after (and during) 1982 contain no copper (coating only). Ideal range would be from 1959-1981. Glue on level surface, coat w/polyurathane like a hardwood floor and layer as thick as needed

Someday soon you'd have junkies breaking in to bust up and steal your floor.

I wouldn't. But I have to admit... I still wouldn't. To much work to do and to much to keep it looking good.
Maybe a bar top but not the dance floor.

Just the amount of time on your knees and your back from bending over.
I can imagine someone being ocd and having them all face up or down and in one direction.

I wouldn't....I just don't think it looks good.
I really do not know, so this is really a question, but would there be any legal issues with doing this? I mean, it's not really destroying the coins, so probably not, but it might be worth finding out. It wouldn't be too cool to do all that work and then have the Treasury department come rip up your floor!

You say that like it's a bad thing.
And it really should be either cod [with increasing letter mass] or cdo [alphabetical order].

I'll be the oddball. I kinda like it.
Don't believe i would take the time myself to do it, but to me
it looks good. I like the look of copper.

I see you've met some of my family.
I wonder if all that metal plays havoc with cellphone reception.

I'll bet the many layers of polyurethane goop would drive the cost up a bit more than that. Clear poly's tend to be too soft for flooring. The hard stuff isn't all that clear, but since it is meant to go microscopically thin, nobody can see the difference. So from a practicality standpoint, I see it for a bar or tabletop more so than a floor. In fact, I've seen it at the old Double-Nichol bar on Pine Island in FL using pairs of nickels.

I'd rather be big pimpin with quarters. Or maybe all bling bling with the new golden colored dollars. Yeah baby, yeah...

Slackers. If you want to do it right, arrange the dark and light pennies to make portrait of Lincoln's face.

Even if I or other family members liked the appearance of it, I would be thinking of the future. Who would want to remove that mess to install a different floor covering?

I'm not sure I believe it. The recipe say glue on level surface, and the first picture shows no glue and an obviously un-level/un-filled surface. I cant imagine doing all that work, just for a picture, however...
