Default Shipping pre-1898 Revolver to Canadian Buyer?

Can one of our Canadian readers opine on what is involved in legally selling & shipping a pre-1898 revolver to a buyer in Canada by a U.S. citizen (non-FFL Dealer)?

Any permits required?

Can the U.S. Mail be utilized?

Thanks.
