Default Looking for magazine fed .410ga Shotgun

Guys,

I'm looking for a magazine fed .410 ga shotgun. All I know right now is the Russian Model "Saiga" which I don't consider to buy.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

IIRC, there was an upper assembly and magazines for the AR15 that would shoot shotgun shells. Do not remember the gauge.

There was also an Enfield that was a .410 shotgun. It was mag fed.

I only know of the customized Krebs Saigas in 12 gauge. Pricey, but word is they're dead on reliable like an AK.

Safir Arms Makes the .410 AR upper. Here is a link from Gunblast.com, this is an evaluation that was written up. Safir Arms T-14 .410 Shotgun Upper for the AR-15

That is the only one I know of. Just as a heads up though, most American Companies have their weapons parts manufactured in foreign countries. It takes a little bit more work to find a completely American Made firearm that is newly manufactured. Saiga's are top notch, no doubt about it.

If I understand Jorge's mindset and post right, he objects to Russian items, not just foreign-made things in general.

Despite the Spanish first name, I think he came here from Germany.

WW II and the Cold War left scars that will take some time to heal.

But I doubt that most major US gun companies use foreign parts. FN has a plant in S . Carolina that now makes Winchester products, but I think the guns are all made there.
In Europe, some parts made in Belgium by FN are assembled in Portugal, but the work seems first rate. ( Browning.)

Which other major US makers do you think are using foreign parts, and where did you learn that? Not being hostile; I'm just curious.

Of course, if you're talking about companies that build assault type weapons from imported parts, I understand you. But if you mean mainline makers like Colt, Ruger, Remington, S&W, etc., I doubt that it's true.

Springfield uses many Brazilian parts, but they seem honest and upfront about it. And they source those from Itajuba Arsenal, not some questionable unknown outfit.

Had to get out the 4473 book for that one, I remembered a fellow had a semi auto .410 shipped in that looked like an AR with detachable mag.
Google up the Akdal MKA 1919 shotgun.
Right now they're only in 12 gauge, but a .410 is supposed to be out soon.

ETA:
ATI was supposed to be making one too.

Spain don't have an exclusive on the name Jorge.

Unless it's pronounced Hor-hey.

The old bolt action Mossberg was a real pain to get the second shot off when shooting clay

jorge, it is very accurate. full choke holds the 3" #4s nice and tight out to 30 yds. that's the fartherest i've shot it. rolled mr o'possum right up. forresth is right about follow up shots, but i didn't get it for "rapid" fire. also the mag is not detachable. fed from the top with the bolt open. lee

Well, my wife is half mexican and none of her friends could pronounce my first name. So after everybody was trying and laughing I ended up with "Jorge" which was given to me... And yes, it's pronounced "Hor-Hey."

Springfield XD's are made in Croatia. Not the 1911's. Frames made in Brazil, there. I think everything else is US made.

Is Hor-Hey just looking for a simple bolt action, box fed 410?

Well, a bolt action, box fed shotgun would work just fine.

Just don't like the single shot ones...

Honestly, I'd go with a Mossberg 500 pump, but the utility bolt action 410's were pretty common at one time. Most folks know how useful they are and don't give them away. I did find one about 7 years ago for $86 (Stevens marked Coast to Coast, a hardware chain). They can be found.

XD are only imported by SA not made by or outsourced by. Just imported. Croatians were very much on the German side of WW2.

I was going to get a Saiga .410, and still might, but
I heard that leaving the magazine loaded could distort
the shells and then they won't load in the chamber.
The constant spring pressure presses on the plastic shell casing.
I don't have one, so I can't say for sure.
