I think he found a older woman. Tight spread, light color and slim neck. Looks like he's got big dia. bases even with the velvet.
Cool pic!

Here's a few Hoosier State deer i captured on film last season.
Of course they disappeared once season rolled around.
Hope they visit again this fall.

Yeah me too Fattom,
I hope he made it through the season without any bullet holes.
And also hope he bred all the does he ran across.
We checked with the areas surrounding us and did'nt get any reports
of him being taken last year. Also a small buck and couple of does
we're killed on the roads around us but not this guy as far as we know.
Bucks like this make me get up at 4:30 a.m.
have a cup of coffee and climb up a tree 15 feet.
Chuck

From the night pic, I guess that's how he got to be a Grandpa!
Nice pics, all. Life goes on, whether we're here to see it or not.

Been hunting that same deer for the last three years (Archery/Crossbow, Muzzle loader and modern gun) and his dad for the last seven.
They always seem to come around the house to my veggie garden or to the peach and apple trees just west of the house, just not during the legal hunting hours, .
Three years ago I popped a doe at 125 yards from the kitchen window. Had I known that the "Dad" was lurking in the brush 25 yards behind her I would have waited on him to show himself, other than his white flag.
I had a chance to shoot at Jr. last year but it was the last day of the season. We ALWAYS have a classic military rifle (As issued) hunt on the last day of the season. Only problem was with him being @ 680 yards from the front sight of my M1. We may have to abandon the "As Issued, Military" Clause of our gentlemen's agreement.
