When my fiber optic broke, I thought about throwing a night sight on the front...I called HK and asked them for just a front sight...they said they only sold sets. I then asked, what about the old sights that they might have around that were taken off repair guns. The tech told me that once it comes off the gun, you can't reinstall it as it will shoot loose. I had a P7 hard chromed years back and they put the sights back on and they stayed put. Could it be the extra material from the new finish helped keep it tight in the dovetail? I intend to Robar or hard chrome my P2000 slide in the future and I'm wondering if I'll need a new set of sights...
