Been looking for a 4 power scope for my 6.8 Bushmaster AR, so while
checking out some on Gunbroker, I noted the crazy high prices for the
Trijicon line. So what's the story, are they worth the money, why the high
prices.

They have great optics and are built like lightweight little tanks. I likes 'em. Maybe too much...But it only hurts once when you buy them.

But if you intend on getting one, make sure your eyesight is compatible! There's no focusing adjustments. And the BAC doesn't work with everybody. But if it does work for you, a reddot won't be needed for close up or night work.

I like the red fiber optic, but most of it is taped over for daytime situations.

It would be hard to make make sure your eyesight is compatible if you were
buying one online, which is the only place I have seen one. I would hate
to drop a large chunk of change on one and not have it work. Been reading
some online reviews and most are positive.

Even older, even crankier....

I've got an acog TA31F on my AR and to say it's a great sight would be an understatement. It's worth every nickle I paid for it.
