Smile Name this little critter

Bet you don't have these guys helping you BBQ at night.
Think he has his beady eye on that little "bug"

It was pitch black out, taken with flash. On the fascia/soffit of the back porch. We have several of them. This is a small one.
The BIG one lives on the other side of the house and jumps on our bathroom window if we leave the light on (attracts "bugs") Gives you a jolt if you are siting there

No, he doesn't sell Insurance

You must not have any cats. Around my place, when I had outside cats, these things didn't have tails.

I actually like to see them occasionally. Snakes I am OK with, but I don't coexist with spiders.

Tokay's are green, mean, and with a mouth full of teeth. They have red eyes, and bark like a dog. I had one that grew to about 12". If they bite they won't let go. Suggestions are to run them under cold water till they release grip. I handled mine only when necessary and with welders gloves. On one such occasion the thing latched on to the glove and looked me in the eye and I read "I want to be free" on his face, so I let him walk.
The way Geckos hold on with their feet is really interesting. The pads on their feet have microscopic "holder thingies" that latch on at an atomic (I think) level. If you have bugs leave the Geckos alone.

Yepppppppppp!

Here, you can hear him talking to ya.

Tokay Gecko - Florida Herps

There are feral cats around, one the size of a black panther. They can't get them as they hang out high in the top of the house and can scoot into really tiny spaces. We had a huge one that lived out in the garage, came out one night and scared Mrs Rule to death

That's pretty neat. I don't see those where I am but I do see the leopard spotted and striped versions.

Did you make black powder stuff it in a hollow log and shoot it with whatever crystals you had.

Without looking it up, I believe it was a test of Good Vs Evil.

We have plenty of similar ones around here, I didn't see one till about 20 years ago I think they are an "invasive species" competing with the usual anole lizard. I unfolded a tarp in my shed a couple of weeks ago theyre were 4-5 of them in there along with a bunch of egg shells.
When I was overseas one time, there were several my room wall. I watched one of them eat a smaller one!

I was thinking the same thing!

If I ever run across a Gorn, I best have a large caliber firearm handy, as those critters are big and tough.

Don't worry, the post office has people that will speak r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y so Norwegian's can understand how to affix a stamp.

I'm Danish-Swedish...

If you ever get up this way, you have to visit Poulsbo. Otherwise known as Norway-town.

Guys,

I swear that's the Delta Gamma I had to escort to a pledge exchange when I was a freshman at LSU -- her eyes got that color after 6 red Dixie cups of keg beer --- and her tongue.....

As previously posted, a large caliber hollow log, some homemade gunpowder, some rocks, and an ignition source....
