My first 25 I kept my mouth shut and none of my teammates realized I was close. If they had, it would have been brutal. When the trap girl congratulated me, you should have seen their faces. Priceless!

Yep they shot my hat that I've been carrying around for the last 6 months. Of course I quit shooting after that round of 25. I just want to enjoy this moment the rest of the day. I feel like I can walk on air right now. Its steak for dinner tonight instead of hot dogs. This really feels good.

Congratulations! My first 25 was a thrill. Though I shot several 100's at skeet I never got beyond 98 at trap. Strange .

Congratulations on your accomplishment. What is this skeet and trap and how do you prepare it?

Seriously, it takes a lot of concentration. You did good.

Congratulations! Once upon a time I shot a lot of skeet and I remember the first time I ran 25. I wasn't wearing a cap so I went in the club house and bought one. If you are half as happy as I was your feet are not touching the ground. And again CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! Larry

Congratulations!
I remember my first 25. I had been chasing it for a while and met some buddies at the field just to get some practice in.
Before it I knew it, I had 24 and was calling for the 25th.
It was a great feeling after I broke that bird.

A friend of mine had been trying to get me to take up Trap and Skeet for nearly a year. I told him I saw Trap and Skeet as a much deeper hole than "Black rifles" or handguns. I just didn't want to fall into it. Yet my path led me to a pawn shop where a nearly 40 year old Remington 1100 could be had for $275. I bought it, had it checked out and repaired and off to the range I went.

Needless to say it but I was hooked,.hooked real deep. I forgot about my pistols and rifles and spent all of my range time shooting Trap,Wobble Trap,Skeet and sporting clays.

Getting the gun fitted to me back in April was the best investment I've made gun wise. I had an adjustable butt plate and comb installed on the gun. My Remington 1100 is the right gun for me at this time. I would like one of those BT 99's but I've got a few other items in line to purchase like a reloader for 12ga.

you might have an idea on how big this hole is. it gets much worse than this later. you will be looking for a perazzi or krieghoff soon at prices that will buy a bunch of smiths. then the progressive loading machines and all the little accessories you will think you need. after that you have to wear the "proper" clothing to look as good as the gun. somewhere along the line you have to practice a ton. after all this you can hit the trapshooting circuit and shoot the big shoots yearround. yes the hole is quite deep. good luck to you

Those older 1100's are fantastic guns. They are well made, nicely balanced and are soft shooting. You found a great deal.

Consider a nice used MEC 9000 for reloading. You can do load sessions less frequently and still keep up with weekly shooting. I really like my MEC's.

I envy you folks down in TX every time December rolls around up here. You won't need to dress like an arctic explorer to shoot!
Keep up the good work, LadyT.

I shot trap for about 10 years about once a week in the summer but didn't shoot at all in the winter. I went from a Rem 870 to a SKB 500 to a Rem Peerless, to a Browning Special Sporting Clays, to a BT99.

I shot 22's, 23's, a few 24's, but never a 25 until I got that BT99. Back it up with a MEC9000 reloader and a couple 5 gal buckets of hulls to keep filled up. Now I shoot skeet all winter also.

The people that think it is the Indian and not the arrow have never had any good arrows. A good shooter with a cheap gun can beat a poor shooter with a good gun but a good shooter with a good gun is hard to do much with. Larry

I shot 25 once: took me four boxes of shells to do it. Congratulations; you're a much better shot than I.
