What guns are on your wish list?
So what guns do you want that are on your short list?
On the top of the list is my old Remington Model 33 single shot that I sold to a guy I know because I needed to pay bills. He has agreed to sell it back as soon as I get the money, hoping to come up with it soon because the gun was once belonged to a friend of mine and it was by far the most accurate .22 I ever owned and it wears a nice old Weaver 3/4 inch scope. I killed over 40 squirrels and chipmunks with that gun from the summer to the fall in one year.
After that I want another .357 Magnum but I am having a hard time deciding which one. I know where there are a couple of Ruger Blackhawks of both the 4 5/8 inch and 6 1/2 inch variety, 3 screw and are in excellent shape. Either that or a 4-inch Highway Patrolman but that is kind of redundant with my 3 1/2 inch barreled 27.
I still want my Winchester 1897 pump 12 gauge. I want one in not so perfect condition with either a 20 inch barrel or one I can do that to without a lot of fuss. I shot one once before along with the Model 12 and I really like the action of the gun and how smooth it is.
A lever action of some sort again, either in .30-30 but I might want an older Marlin 1936 from 1936 that has been on the shelf of a gun shop for some time. I like the gun's action and while it isn't a pre-64 Winchester it is still a nice vintage old rifle that just hasn't gotten the attention it has deserved. Either that or a lever action .357 since I have so much ammo on hand for my handguns for the .38 Specials and the .357's.

Oh man what a question...How about --- "what guns ARE NOT on my wish list" -- it would make for a shorter list!
A lot of times I'll buy a gun/rifle, shoot it, enjoy it but dont have a connection to it so I'll pass it along to someone else. Sometimes I regret selling, sometimes. Often the only way I can get something crossed off my "wish list" is to sell or trade another that was on that list. Also sometimes I run into guns that I never knew about and they quickly jump onto my wish list......sometimes right to the top!
Ok lets see here
Walther PPQ
S&W 4506
S&W 45XX (any really)
S&W 66
S&W 13 with a 3 in barrel
S&W E Series 1911
S&W 57
S&W revolver N frame with a 5-6 in barrel in 357
Colt 6920
Colt 308 AR
Glock 20 (had one, sold it Aaaaarrgg)
Glock 21 (had one, sold it Aaaaarrgg)
Krebs AK 74
Krebs AK in 6.5 Grendel
IMI Tavor
Springfield TRT, TRP Op, Loaded
Ruger 1 in 375H&H
A few crates of Mosin Nagants
Carl Gustaf mauser in 6.5x55 (preferably left hand...yea like thats gonna happen)
Octogon barrel Springfield (or a good copy) 45-70
Stechkin (aint gonna happen)
Mauser Broomhandle, long barrel in 9, 7.63 and 30 Luger
Browning HiPower with night sights (one that doesnt jam. Had that already)
Thats just of the top of my head. Im sure there is more, lots more!!

I'm not sure about the make, but I want one of those revolvers you see in the movies that shoot 14 times without reloading, or one of the 1911s that do the same. Also, they never miss, while the bad guys always do!
Other than that, right now my personal want is a Commander-length (4" - 4.25" barrel) 1911, .45 ACP, blue, with no FPS (Series 70 style.) It has to be new, and have a lifetime warranty with excellent customer service.

I have quit buying shooters and switched to investment grade guns. I would like a;
Winchester Model 12 12 ga
Winchester Model 92 or 94
Anything that is likely to appreciate in value
I am buying older S&W and Colts. Whatever I can get reasonably but it must be in excellent condition.
Smith and Wesson (or Colt) snub nosed .22LR.

In preparation for my anticipated retirement next year, I have spent the past 4 years purchasing, as funds allowed, most handguns that are of interest to me.
I also stocked up on most of the long arms that struck my fancy.
When the job goes away a lot of my "hobby money" goes with it.
Having said that, there might be one or two on my list yet. Maybe a nice M27-? 4" in blue. I'm really liking 4" blue N frames. As to long arms,
I just aquired an 1903A3 and a M1 Garand with a pre-WWII s/n. Maybe a nice Marlin Cowboy in .38 / .357 with a 24" barrel.
My plan was to have amassed the hardware prior to retirement and then devote most funds to reloading supplies. This will allow me to feed my habit at a rate I am accustomed to.
Then again, you know what they say about plans.

Pretty much some oddball stuff, and things I have never owned, or foolishly sold.
For example, I'd like to have a Colt Defender that Terry Tussey has gone through. Nothing overtly decorative, just a reliability package and few tuned up magazines. And some wooden grips, I've never carred for that wrap-around rubber thingie.
I'd like a SW 642 without the lock. I have a locking 642, and this would make a nice companion piece and a Chicago reload.
If it functioned to my satisfaction, I'd like a Beretta Tomcat in stainless. I like automatics, my wife doesn't like to rack the slides, and it would be nice just to slip into any pocket.
And last but not least, a Clerke. I've joked about it for so many years that I really should get one.

My list is pretty unambitious. We can't really be too fussy in Kalifornistan. We just scramble after the scraps left by the Free States.
Ruger SR1911
4" M629 no dash
5"-ish barrel unmodified 3 screw Blackhawk in .44 Magum
3"-4" pre lock 625
Thanks to a forum member I should be crossing off the SR1911 next week. I swear I've been like a little kid at Christmas. Haven't actually been excited about a new gun in a long time. I've been lusting after one of them since they came out.
For the uninitiated, the Kalifornistan "approved handgun roster" makes it difficult and expensive to obtain any of the above handguns legally. You can't just go online & buy one.
Except fot the Blackhawk. They're just hard to find.

I'm always looking for something that goes "bang". Is that specific enough?
Honestly, I'd really just like to have the time to shoot the guns that I already have. Although I have been looking for a Colt Officers Match .22 of the right price and vintage....
... I need help.

Actually, one of the reasons I joined this forum is because so many of the guns on my wishlist are Smith & Wesson, despite not currently owning a S&W! I'll make it a top ten...
-Any firearm used in the Second Anglo-Boer War (Numero uno on my wishlist, the rest are all secondary in some way, shape, or form. I had SIX relatives fighting in this war; five [including two not related to the other three] for the ZAR, one [unrelated to the other five] for the Brits)
-Smith & Wesson Model 1917 in .45 ACP (This would be number one after the Boer War firearms)
-Smith & Wesson Victory Model Hand Ejector (I'm addicted to shooting my best friend's, so time to get my own, I think...)
-Colt Woodsman .22 (The pistol my grandfather called "the finest semiautomatic .22 caliber pistol ever made", and he stuck with that statement from the late 1930's to 1987 when he passed away.)
-Saiga 12 Shotgun (I've always been fascinated by these and have fired them numerous times)
-Smith & Wesson 1911 (It's time for another 1911 in .45 ACP, the Smiths got tarred and feathered because the early ones weren't as good as Wilson or Les Baer, and from the pricetag, they look like great values.)
-IWI Jericho in 9mm (Better value than the CZ-75 after the CZ-75 shot through the $1,000 ceiling...the guns are basically the same.)
-Browning Model 1900 Automatic (Have only fired one of these guns, but wow, did I love it! The fact that you get easily obtain ammo for a gun this old is another bonus.)
-Snider .577 Trapdoor Rifle (Preferably a later model, since they got better as they went on. With the market currently flooded with the Nepalese versions and focus currently not on these guns thanks to political conditions, I've noticed the price has been going down, although competition has been going up.)
-Century Arms Yugoslav AK with fixed stock. My local gun dealer has both fixed stock and folding stock versions. Fixed stock generally stays on the shelf, folding flies off it to the point where he actually started marking them up. I've fired a fixed stock/conventional rifle and it was comfortable for an AK. You get a longer stock than you'd expect and I liked the pistol grip, which was different than a standard AK. He's said he's considered hiking the price a little bit on these but it wouldn't be unless demand equalled that of the folding stock variant. I might as well get mine before the price gets hiked.

Much like LTC, I'll retire in about a year and a half. Very likely that any additions to the safe after that will be few and far between. Hoping to fill out my wish list before then, but its highly unlikely.
At the moment a Winchester 9422 Trapper is at the top of the list. I've got a standard model, but have always had a great fondness for the short 16" lever guns. I've been checking around the web lately and not only are they hard to find, but the prices are outrageous. I can only hope to get lucky.
Seems that most of what's on my list is either hard to find or out of my budget. Likely I'll never find them or at least ones I can afford.
Others on my list:
S&W Model 35
38/44 Outdoorsman
Pre-war 5" 38/44 HD
Schofield (Reproduction would do, but even those are pricey)
Colt 1908 .380
Colt SAA
OTOH I do have a nice collection already. More than enough to make my retirement years interesting.

The only gun I am missing in my desired collection is a Thompson Sub Machine gun which unfortunately I am not allowed to own in the State I live in.
Other than that, I have pretty much everything I want.

When it comes to smith revolvers, a model 29-2. Seems to be one of the few major Smith revolvers NOT in my collection. Ironically I have a 629 and a 624 and had a 57 until today, but have never owned a model 29.
Long term, my wish list includes a full auto BAR, AK-47 and M16/AR15 variant.

All I wanted this year was a k-frame snub, preferably a 2 1/2" 19, along with a bare bones 1911. Well, the k turned out to be a 15-3 and the 1911 was more than I ever expected. So I guess my wishes came true...

Obviously the list is long. However, the Governor has surprisingly made its way to the top of my list as a novelty item. I'm not sure how that happened.

Any broomhandle or S&W 39 variant I don't have. Of course, I'd really like a Darne double rifle in something practical like 8X57JR instead of 375 H&H; they only go for about 40K euros, and they're only built to order.

Watching too much reality TV addles the brain.

I've answered a few similar threads in the past, and as I recall, each of my answers were different! Here goes:
9mm Hipower (preferrebly an old one)
Matched pair of E series stainless 1911s in .45 (always wanted a matched pair of .45s)
Tanker Garand ('cause they're cool)
Another AR, just 'cause I don't have one in .556 currently
An Auto 5 riot gun
An Outdoorsman, preferrably one that's seen some use and wouldn't be opposed to gettin' trimmed to 5" (blame this one on Dave Kieth!)
Just about any HD that I can afford (gettin' harder to find)
The 28-1 ( )
EDIT: Any gun Sal would likely want!
That should keep me busy for a bit....

My wish list has been known to change from time to time but somethings are always on it.
Spring Field 1911 Mil Spec
Ruger 77/357 bolt action rifle (I just got a soft spot for 357magnum)
Ruger 10/22
Ruger Security Six blue with 4inch Barrel with 1980s serial number
Ruger Black Hawk 357magnum
Ruger Single Six
Smith and Wesson Model 36 with 3inch barrel (got a thing for J-Frames)
Smith and Wesson model 17
there are more but them are just some of the ones I keep wanting

My bucket list included, seemingly for eons, a .22WMR revolver. That 'want' was satiated 10/11 with a LNIB 4" 651. I wanted a 'Blood Work' 627 since first seeing the ad for the 'UDR' a dozen years ago. I satisfied that itch 4/10 with a new re-issue - and a new favorite firearm. I went through my long gun craze years ago, my 1903, M1, 1927 Thompson, and #1H in .458 Lott now being fond memories - sold to enable more S&W revolver purchases. My long guns now include mainly CZ-452 .22's... and the requisite AR (M&P 15) - big ho hum. I guess my greatest desire, gun-wise, is to be able to keep my firearms without any government interference. Oh... and a 646 (.40 S&W) would be nice, too.
I guess I've listened to too much CS&N 'Love the one you're with...' or Sheryl Crowe 'It's not having what you want... but wanting what you have!'. Then there is the simple fact that I am broke...
Merry Christmas, all!

I'm easy to please, and did pretty well this year whittling my wish list down. Why I wanterd a coach gun is still a bit of a mystery...
My top 5:
1. CS9
2. 1066
3. 13 or 65 3"
4. Remington Model 7- .308
5. .357 lever gun for under $2,000,000...why is the supply not keeping up with the demand on those buggers? I can't find one anywhere.

HALF of the S&Ws I sold
to put my baby daughter thru college. I'd like them back so I can oil them up again. Shot the 1950 Targets alot and nothing comes close....

The S&W guns:
627 PC or V-Comp pre lock
686+ snub pre lock pre MIM (compensated would be best)
Pre model # or P&R 27 .357 8-3/8"
29 or 629 6" or 6-1/2"
57 or 657 (any barrel length). Would love a compensated snub .41 mag.
The other guns:
Kel-Tec PMR-30 (on order for...ever)
Kel-Tec KSG
Coonan .357 (new model)
Medusa revolver 6" (Holy Grail)
Rossi 92 .454 Casull 20" Stainless (had one on order for 9 months, got tired of waiting and got a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70)
HK 770 .308
HK91 .308
1911 Longslide 10mm
You see most of these guns on GB from time to time but the prices are disgusting. I am well aware the prices on the HKs will not get any better since they stopped coming in in 1989, and most Medusa owners know those guns are rare as hen's teeth and price accordingly. There are other guns I want that are common enough like a lever action .22 WMR and a 930 SPX where I just need to head to a store and get them.

I am in the market for my first gun. For me I have my eyes on the S&W SD9VE and my wife the Ruger LCP or Taurus 738. I hope to get them both this month.
