I know money is tight around Christmas so if you can't fly in for this, think about a road trip....

Sip tell Ava congrats on the honor.
My 7 yr old grandaughter wins student of the week 5 or 6 times a year and I get to go eat lunch in those tiny seats a few times each week this happens, kinda makes me wish she was more like me in school

Sip,tell Ava congratulations you must be really proud of her.I have two daughters that make me proud and they spoil me a lot.Sounds like she has a very bright future.Must be good parental influence.Hope she has your sense of humor too.

Tell her that we're proud of her. She is an intelligent, talented and lucky girl. Intelligent and talented to earn the award and lucky to take after her mother.

I found it. I woulda went all the way to the beach if I had turned east from 441. It's only a few blocks west right after the Fl. Turnpike on Hollywood Blvd. Man that was close, Thank God for the inernet.

Well, California is a bit of a drive for me but I offer my hearty congratulations to her. I do so enjoy hearing about young people doing GOOD and being successful instead of getting into trouble. It restores my faith in humanity for the future.
Just an idea but in lieu of all of us showing up for the presentation in person perhaps an acceptable alternative would be to let her read this thread. Young people need to be acknowledged for their achievements, not just scolded for their failures.

Well, your helpful suggestion about charging for advice hasn't yet proven to be as lucrative as I'd hoped, and Hand Ejector was right in suggesting that I keep my day job rather than depending on my pay-for-advice scheme (for which, thanks, BTW, HE) so, I can't afford the airfare to attend Ava's honors, but please extend to her my congatulations, and to you and her mother as well, for parenting as it ought to be done...
