It has been drier than a popcorn fart here for 2 years now. We got blessed with some much needed rain yesterday and last night. We got over 6 inches here and I live just east of the lake that holds our water. Pounds that were dry for the first time sense I have lived here are running over. We always seem to just miss what little rain we would get but this time it was our turn. I live north of Lawton with Fort Sill in between and a friend said he got 1/2 inch in town. I really don't know how much we got my rain gauge only goes to 6 inches and it was running over. I got me a chair and open the garage door and watched it till it started blowing in on me. We made national news with this with some damage but not much. Everyone was going nuts over the storms like chicken little. Guess it's been so long but storms here were the normal at one time. Thank You Lord for the much needed rain.
