Best Christmas present so far....
Just saw gas at a 7-11 for $2.83/gallon. Could we hit $2.75 for Christmas day?

That's really expensive where I live it was 2.18 a gallon at the local 7-11. Before you even asked I filled up cause I hadnt seen it that low in a while but it normally hovers in the 2.40-2.50 range

and I was excited about it dropping to $3.34, but as I am not a long haul trucker any more, it takes more than a few cents to get me real excited. Now, I probably use less than 20 gal a week, so a 5 cent drop saves me less than a buck. I am more excited about what it means to our economy in general. Cheap gas is the catalyst that makes the USA a profitable nation to do business in.

It's still 60 cents more than that at the cheapest stations around here. I can save a couple cents a gallon by driving 50 miles though...

Yeah? Back in 1960 I recall seeing it once for 11 cents at a price war! I remember in those days my dad drove big gas guzzlers. He would buy gas where and when he needed it. Then he bought a VW and would search out the cheapest stations and come close to running on empty untill he found a cheap station.

$2.89 in Memphis, most stations under $3.00. If you think about it that still ain't cheap.

Just filled up for $3.12. I habitually fill at the same station on Sunday when I go to the nursing home to visit my mom. Other places are as low as $3.04. Joe

I, on the other hand have land under lease from an oil company, and want them to drill. So I have mixed feelings, wanting gas prices to go down, but oil prices to go up!
