Default Running Scared???

I was in my local L&M Fleet Supply store today and was informed that the store had received a notification this day that L&M was no longer going to stock .223 or 5.56 ammo. I love it. I just purchased a Del-Ton 5.56 a month ago. I have about 200 rounds on hand. Looks like my range time will be one round a year to check zero! I'm 65 so when I hit 80 (if) I may splurge and pop off a couple.

You should consider reloading. Gather your components and buy a Dillon 550 reloading machine in 223. You will save a lot in ammo costs, can tune your ammo to your firearm and it is a lot of fun reloading. You can recoup the cost of the reloading equipment very quickly.

Yes, I am preparing to do this. I have been reloading handgun ammo for about five years now. Thanks for the reply.

I decided that I couldn't afford to shoot factory ammunition in any useful quantities when I was in college in 1979. Ammunition hasn't gotten any cheaper (or more plentiful) since then.

I've got 5,000+ .38 Special cases alone.

Are the going to still carry other ammo? If so, what a wimp out.

Once supply catches up to demand you can get a 22 LR upper or conversion unit.
