Neck is still swollen on the eight. I talked to a guy that said the second rut was in for the does that didn't get bred first time around. Can't prove it by me. I haven't seen many bucks this year.
Nice pictures, they are very beautiful animals.

I had 2 bucks feeding together out back of the house last week. It was dusk. The heavy rut here was week of Nov 6th. I believe it is winding down here too.
Those are great pics Rags!

The rut appears to peak for the whitetails, here in Central MT the week of Thanksgiving.
Seems to be over now. Two small bucks and an older 2-3 yr old were all eating together on the lawn yesterday.
We also had a small buck GORED by another with a bad wound to the neck. That was a first.

The bigger 8 pts. neck still looks swollen? The rut did come in early in N. Ms. but it's still on. Saw 4 bucks yesterday. They weren't together, almost got a chance to harvest a nice 8 I've been chasing since November...

Thanks. Cannon T3i w/ the 250mm lens that came with. It does way more itself than I've learned thus far.
