Reports are this story that some cities Subway foot long subs are not actually a foot long.

Some are speculating that if you have it oven heated it may shrink some.

Ever since Chips-Ahoy stopped being "1,000 chips delicious."

Subways around here have the skimpiest amount of meat on them I have ever seen on a sub. Pitiful.

A little off thread but when I was working years ago we had a officer weighed 500 lbs that called in 10-7 and said he was going to lunch. Another guy hit the pac set and said, lunch for him is a 6 foot sub and a watermellon! Cracked me up!

A Publix deli sub kicks any Subway sub's butt.

Most bags of potato chips are full of air. I don't like Subway because they make lousy bread and their cold cuts aren't the real McCoy.

I've been in Subways, but only to get into Boston.

They are everywhere up here but I never been in one. But if I ever do, thanks for the important info being provided. I'll make sure I bring a ruler with me if I decide to go in for a sub.

I used to go to Subway quite often even though they slice their meat thin enough the read a newspaper through.

However, I was in a small town near me, was hungry, & stopped to 'indulge'. I was alread inside the door and the girl said "How can we help you?", when I saw the "No Firearms Allowed" sign. I had never seen that in any Subway that I have been in before, so I ask "Is that just this store or Corp. policy." She said that is Corp. policy.

I was not even carrying at the time, but I told her "I can't eat here then, now or in the future". So much for the good buns,'trimmings' & extreamly thin meat sandwiches. I don't like dealing with stupid policy.

Subway uses the same guy who says that 2X4s at Lowes and Home Depot are really 2X4s, not 1.5X3.5s

Does that mean that you believe that 2x4s at other lumber yards are really 2-inches by 4-inches, and that Home Depot and Lowes, by selling smaller ones, are guilty of false advertising, or maybe even fraud?

Back in my day, you actually got a pound of coffee in a pound can! Sody pop was just a dime! And, why, I can remember when gas was only a quarter a gallon!........

On $6 foot long day (ah the good old $5 days are gone) I asked if I could get my foot long club made on just half the bun. Was informed that would then be a double meat & double cheese six inch which would cost $9. What? OK, then can at least cut two inches off each end of the bread before you make the stupid sub?
Nope, it would still be a smaller sub, and $9 not the $6 foot long. So, I let the woman build the sub as a foot long, cut it and wrap it. I pay, open the darn thing, take all he stuff off half and put it on the other half, then ball the now empty half bun and shoot it Michael Jordan stile into the trash can behind her.

My wife picked up a rug at Walmart to replace the one under the dinning room table. It says 5x7 on the package. I went to put it down and it seemed shorter than the last one. Got the tape measure out and it was 6'6". I reread the label and it said 5x7 and also noted that it was made in Egypt.

That right, We'd been E-gypted.

had recently cut the meat contents 25% and raised food costs to them.

When I used to eat Subway sammiches I would get the one called the "Feast." It was $8.00 but I had a bunch of $2 off coupons. I could eat half for supper and half at lunch the next day.

My local sub shop sells 16" subs for $7.00, and I do the same as you.

The next day, the bread gets saturated with the oil, pickle juice etc. I do like it
