Default 2 cities 100 miles apart yet so different

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has asked that all of the cities pension fund devest from any investments in any gun makers stocks, I hope these gun companies strike back refuse to supply the city of Chicago any of it's products.

To bad they don't have the Milwaukee attitude down there, Sheriff Clarke speaks the truth.

Appearing on CNN Monday morning, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. doubled down on his cry for citizens to arm themselves.
Clarke, who last week urged residents to learn how to use a firearm so they can defend themselves, was interviewed by a not-too-sympathetic Soledad O'Brien on her "Starting Point" show.
O'Brien began the interview with a clip of Clarke's call-to-arms radio spot from last week.
"Wow. Wow," she said. "What's the goal in this? Because it's kind of scary. Is it to scare people? Is it to get everybody to run out and buy a gun?"

Kudos to Sheriff Clarke! Telling people that in the first instance, they are responsible for their own safety is a harsh truth for some, but he's not saying anything that we don't already know to be the fact of the matter. Definitely a man of guts and integrity!

It would be nice if firearms and ammo manufacturers would stop doing business with government (fed, state, local) that is violating the 2nd Amendment. May never happen, but it would be nice.

Something just clicked for me after reading your response. I was having trouble figuring out why somebody who chose not to defend themselves would insist that i couldn't defend myself either. I think the personal resposibility part is what scares the anti-gun "people". It removes the option for them sit passively and whine "there was nothing I could do" if threatened.
