I could and do. Along with about 20 buddies on tailgates with many coolers in summertime. Not much beats cookin fresh meat on a good open fire in the field.

I get absolutely
I get absolutely transfixed watching a nice fire. It's so relaxing that it's probably the closest I come to Nirvana. I especially have memories of watching campfires before I would turn in for the night. Some of the best times I've had in my life.

Looks good to me. I use the fireplace almost every night in the winter.
I would love a setup like yours, but it's not really feasible for our house.

Was half the cost of putting a standard fireplace and chimney on the side wall.
