Ditto on Sixguns! Also found The Perfect Pistol Shot by Albert League to be very practical. And of course, anything by Jeff Cooper.

Impossible to pick just one.
Several by Jeff Cooper make the list.

So does "Handgunner's Guide" by Chic Gaylord.

"The Snubby Revolver" by Ed Lovette is another.

So is "Quick Or Dead" by Willam L. Cassidy.

"Hit The White Part" by Massad Ayoob is one of the books I read
when I was learning to shoot pins.

"Pin Shooting: A Complete Guide" by Mitchell A. Ota is a sentimental
favorite. It was the first thing I won playing trivia at the 1991
Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot in Central Lake, MI.

I could go on...

I've said it before, Hit The White Part is a good book even for those not into pin shooting as there's still lots of good info regarding handguns and shooting in general to be found therein.

I think "Sixguns" by Keith is my favorite for reference or just gun history. But...., I am now reading "Magnum" by Timothy Mullins, about the history of the .357 magnum, from the Registered magnum to todays .357's. I can't seem to put it down. He also wrote "American beauty" about the Colt's pre-war National Match, great book ! AGJ

Anyone else get the new one from Palladium press "Handgun Marksmanship", one of the NRA e-mails advertised it so I grabbed a copy.

"Sixguns" by Keith, "The Handgun", by Geoffrey Boothroyd, and most of Jeff Cooper's work, where you find it. The old, "Fighting Handguns" was good. May be, "The Fighting Handgun".

I have autographed copies of Jordan's, "No Second Place Winner."
