Little Jewel
Why is it that whenever I have something to sell, the buyer thinks it`s an old scab ,
but whenever he has something to sell it`s a little jewel?
It seems I always buy retail and sell wholesale. Is it just me or are others infected with this disease also?

Sore Subject
This is a problem with our society of late or it's been in progress for a long time. It's been more noticable at the gun shows over the last twenty years or so. They call it supply and demand. Well I say --ck'em
,Boycott. Tell them they are crooks and leave and don't go back and never refer anyone to that store or shop. Lately it seems that everything is in demand. Even this forum ,members are gouging gun prices and accesories, ammo ect. It's not going to get better. People are Greedy and Glutionous. It is going to ruin our society, The government is doing a fine job of that. I bought a 625-3 three inch last year for 750.00 with box. Really want another now even without the box they are 900.00 up, I've even tried to trade a 27-2 3.5 with box and three hunderd of one w/o box and the dude wanted more money. Sorry I'll wait, but it really pisses me off that the bull that people start about they are going to take away something from us causes such spikes in prices and nothing has even changed yet although the gun and ammo dealers are making millions from those of us that are scared.
I will stop now and I feel your pain, but at this point if I can't make a decent trade without feeling like I got boinged I won't do it. Boycott is the only real answer. Don't buy from Crooks

I've said this before but, several years a very big gun store owner was rude to me, to the point he called me at home to apologize to me. I didn't set foot in his store for about 2 full years. I took my business and all my referrals to a small shop 3 miles away. That owner kept track of the purchases related to me- $52,000.00 in 2 years. Did the other guy go broke or out of business, not at all, but he knew he was missing a good customer. But even in these times of "vast sales", the owning family of that big shop are polite. I still think they would prostitute themselves for 25 cents, but at least they can be cordial! And I take all the business I can elsewhere-same for referrals! Ivan

I've often wondered how it is that so many extremely rare guns find their way to the forum....

There's a gun shop somewhat local to me that operates about like this. If you go in with a trade it's not worth much because "they made 10 million of them and this one isn't that nice". After you do let them have it and it's in their case it's "rare, one of only 10 ever made"!!!!!!!!!! No I've never traded there, but have witnessed the above. When I DO go there it's only for entertainment.

Ah yes. Jewel had such a crush on her in her early career. Did you know she is from the Alaskan Family the Kilchers that have the TV show The Last Frontier.

It's basic human nature and all in the eye of the beholder. Kinda like this:
Your house as seen by you.
Your house as seen by a potential buyer.
Your house as seen by a lender.
Your house as seen by an appraiser.
Your house as seen by the tax assessor.
