Default Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson

Just purchased this through iTunes Store. It has already proved to be very informative, I have been able to date several of my guns and am shocked that several are older than I am. Can't wait to read through the entire book

Word of advice, keep it handy. We put our house on the market, I packed mine and put it in storage. I have needed it 3 times since Feb 1st. Thanks to you gents who looked up a S/N-date for me.

I keep my "bible" within arms reach when I'm on line. It comes in real handy.

I had to cover the original cover with self stick clear plastic to keep it from getting so deteriorated. Mine is a "working" copy. Then I downloaded a copy to my Kindle Fire to take with me to gun shows. Weigh's a lot less.

My copy is right here on my desk next t o me. My wife is always after me to put it back on the bookshelf but I am ALWAYS using it for something. Probably the most used firearms book I own - and I own plenty of 'em!

There was a time, back when Jim Supica was still alive, that he regularly monitored these pages for such threads. No more, alas. There was a post, a while back, that actually indicated there was talk of a 4th. Of course we haven't heard a thing this year. We know nothing of any progress on the subject.

It might be fun to just make up a story on it, forcing someone to correct our errors (of fact or belief.)
