Default National Association For Gun Rights?

Does anyone here belong to the National Association For Gun Rights? I'm just wondering because I somehow ended up on their e-mail list. While some of the concerns they express about pending legislation are valid, they seem to concentrate almost as much on bashing the NRA and telling how Wayne and they boys are involved in "smokey backroom" deals to sell out gun owners. Past NRA President Marion Hammer agreed with one point of an anti-gun representative from St. Pete, FL and all of a sudden, she's gone over to the dark side. Of course there is the plea in every e-mail for $10, 20, 30 or whatever I can spare. With the divisiveness they appear to be attempting to generate, it would seem they could possibly do more harm than good. Just my .02 cents worth. As someone else on the forum says, YMMV.

I just read an article about phony organizations being used to show "main stream" gun owners support stuff most 2A organizations don't support.

Me too. I'm getting two or three emails a day from NAGR. I'd hate to think that the NRA gave them my info, but I wonder. It's probably like when you make a donation to one cause, & that group sells your info to everyone else looking for donations.

I get them too. Pretty sure the NRA doesn't sell info of members. Not sure who this group is and I question their legitimacy.

As much as NAGR slams the NRA, I don't think the info was given to them by the NRA. I'm thinking I may have answered a poll or done something which put me on their radar. I know one e-mail I got from them stated it was from Rand Paul.

I've been a member since they started. It's headed by Dudley Brown, founder of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RGMO).

Not sure where they get they're contact list from.

.... and yes, they do have "issues" with NRA Corporate from time to time.

I receive e-mail from NAGR regularly. I usually give them a quick glance, then send them to the trash bin.Dudley Brown seems to be more interested in ramping up everyones anxiety than anything else. Not sure whose side he's on or what he's trying to accomplish.

When most of the stuff he sends out has something in it bashing the NRA, you can be pretty sure that he is on Dudley Brown's side.
