Need a flag to fly!
My wife and I just purchased our first home, a 1910 Folk Victorian in a small Ohio town. I have been looking for a 4x6 American flag for our front porch but the only thing I can find is cheap nylon flags. I would like to buy a good quality embroidered flag that will last years rather than months.
Any suggestions?

If you have a Meijer store near you check them out as they have cheapos but I've found good ones that last there too. I happen to work for them too and get a 10% employee discount as well.
We fly the flag 24/7 as it's lighted but have a hard time finding good POW/MIA flags as most are cheap nylon and don't last long.

Annin Flags. They were good enough for the Marines on Mount Suribachi and for Neil Armstrong on the moon! They are made in the USA and have been since 1847. They have a heavy canvas outdoor flag with grommets or an outdoor flag with a tube to slip over a pole.

Good luck with your new home.
One of our boys suprised us with the "Betsy Ross" below.Reason for response is,make it convenient to reach.Meaning,a nice stout mount/pole system....along with an indoor "parking place" when it's stored.
We chose our side porch over the front location.Rolling the flag up is quick and easy,it sits inside, next to door when not in use.
A pretty snowy day.........

need a flag to fly
Check with your local congressman. They are given flags that fly from the White House and Capital to them that are free of charge with a letter of authenticity. Contact them for the flag and depending on the wait or inventory, they will be happy to furnish you with one of those flags.

The flags you can get from your congressman are made in America and are excellent quality. I fly my flag on a lighted flagpole 24 hours a day 365 days a year(weather permitting) and these flags last a year! I have them fly my flag over the Capital on Febuary 17th on my dad's birthday so that I can honor him each day by flying old glory high and proud!!!
