Ammo Shelves are Blooming.
I stopped by the LGS today. Walked over the ammo section was was surprised to see what looked like more filled space than empty. Still no rimfire ammo, but lots of shotgun stuff. Except for low brass 16 ga, which I'd have bought a box of...they did have high brass 16, which surprised me. There were pallets of cases of 12 and 20 ga shotgun ammo in the aisles. I just glanced at the rifle/handgun section, but my general impression was there was more stuff there than there was last week.
Maybe....

We've had a fairly steady stream of 12 ga target load stuff but it is up 20 bucks for a case (250 shells) since about 4/1. .40 cal, 22 mag, .410 handgun and for a while .17hmr has been hit or miss. forget most everything else.

Well 9 & 45 is still scarce here. 556 PMC started showing up and depending on the store you can have anywhere between 2-5 boxes per. 357 is at 'all you can buy' now with some limit on 38spl.

That's just a little
But I will take as a good sign rather than all of the negatives we've seen/heard lately.

still mostly empty here, unless you stand in line in the wee hours of the AM waiting for the doors to open.

my shelves are better stocked now too, or should I say better organized. I spent a few hours off and on today sorting and organizing my ammo. I did find a few surprises I forgot I had. dropped two boxes of CCI CBs: one short and one long so I got to sort all that out. I've seen a little more ammo in the one local shop. maybe/hopefully it is going to settle down some now. lee

Haven't had any shortage of shotgun ammo at all, here in SE Michigan. Still can't get much of anything else.

Northern Great Plains Report: I went to a gun show last weekend and observed ammo profiteers who weren't selling much. One creepy little seller got angry when a guy tried to broker a lower price. It made me smile. I hope he loses his butt on the investment he made. The local Cabelas is getting its shelves restocked with a lot of .40 and .45. They even had some .22 LR, but .38 and 9mm are still unstocked, and .223 is still about as scarce as hen's teeth. Lots of rifle and shotgun ammo available for hunting purposes, but not much for 00 Buck and other defensive rounds.

I was in WalMart today and the ONLY thing they had was mini-mag .22 shorts and about a dozen boxes of brown box 00 buck. Price on the shotgun ammo was $4.67, which is pre-panic or better.

The best I could find over the counter was 60 bucks a case and that was pre panic.

I stopped by the closest Super WMart over the weekend ... nada in the ammo cabinet, as in nadathing. Zip, zero, no boxes of any ammo.

Did that this AM at the local Big 5. They didn't get one single box of .22.

Mostly shotgun shells? Looks like Biden was involved.

The amount of ammo available online has been slowly increasing as well. The list of available ammo on gunbot today was the longest I've seen since before the shortage and the ammo isn't disappearing right after it's put up for sale. Granted, the prices are still high but it's a start.

Around here Shotgun ammo has never been a problem. Their has always been 38 specials available. 40 S&W is usually on the shelf.
I havn't seen any 22 long rifle or .223 in a long time. .45 ACP is hit and miss. Not much .357 Magnum.
The thing I havn't seen much of is powder and primers. Their has been bullets in uncommon weights for caliber but no common stuff.
It seems kinda funny how in different parts of the country you can find different kinds of ammo. but no .22 long rifle anywhere.
